Hello all, new here.
Have been banging away on TE13 for about a week now, trying to get everything down. I beat up on Club, then took a day or two to get to where I can beat Pro 5 handily. Have been playing on Pro 10 and winning some here and there. Decided to boost up to Masters 5 to see how I compete, and I was surprised to find that I can still get to returns well, and can rally, serve and put some away when I get the chance. I still need a lot of work, but not horrible. Serves could use the most work, I think.
My problem comes from two shots, almost entirely -- CPU return of my serve (if I don't hit a perfect bomb on the lines) and CPU 3rd shot off my returns. Both of these, the CPU seems to be able to hit the lines with ease. Their crosses on the run, hitting short and on the line are killing me. It's almost a guarantee that unless I get a perfect strike, I'm getting put away in one shot. So, I'm wondering how much this actually happens online. I feel like if humans are hitting that well, then there's no chance for me.
If anyone has the nerve to watch my last match, you'll see what I mean. I feel like I played well. Hit good shots, served well, and returned most without being too defensive. Took chances on second serve returns, and went at the net when I felt I should. Lost 6-1 to a constant barrage of cross court winners. If I hug the line, he takes the empty court. If I move to center, I get crossed. No chance either way. Any help?
Signed up for Ireland +60 Futures for my first tourny. Will I compete?
