Wimbledon Court Discussion

Postby J. Grilo » Sat, 06 Jul 2013 00:28

Hi all,

after my match against FedSerena17 we talked a little in the chat and he told me something which i found important to make it public, because it concerns anyone of us. First of all, i need to say, that i'm playing at the "Grand Slam Tennis 2" Court, because of the camera view, which i find the best one for me. But i always go on the theory that every court "is the same" - speed, rebound of the ball etc. But it doesn't seem so. He said, that it is the slowest court and good for defensive player, but not for aggressive player, which go to the net.

I found that pretty unfair, because everyone have his style (defensive or aggressive) and have different taste concerning the camera view etc. So there will be automatically advantages/disantvantages for some players. That's something which concerns everyone in the community.

In this case, isn't it better to choose just 1 court and make a voting?

Just my thoughts. What do you think?

The court physics are exactly the same for all Wimbledon respectively Olympics courts. In 2D Mode, you get different camera views for the different court choices: This changes the perception. If you want to avoid any trouble: Play 3D, find your camera and go with it. Playing without Previews it is very important to be used to a fixed perception (or just little variations of it).

Yep, play with 3D. Once you get the good camera angle it's the same for every court. That's pretty awesome.
