Lag Policy:
We value your positive experience with ITST and strive to provide a better environment to participate in our tournaments As such, we are releasing rules regarding Lag handling and Tennis Elbow. Please read them carefully:
- We strongly advise against the use of Wi-Fi when playing TE
- Make sure no one in your house/location uses internet when you play an official match
- Make sure to close all applications that use internet on your PC/Mac when playing
- Make sure your smart phone is not "pulling" email through your Wi-Fi when you are playing
- If you feel the match is unplayable in the first game of the match - stop and attempt to solve the problem before playing further
- If you started the match - you have to finish it. If you stop the match - you quit and will be awarded a loss
- Both players can agree on stopping the match and continue at a later time, but if one player wants to proceed playing - then the game must continue
- If conditions during a match get worse and do not improve after 5 to 10 minutes, then the players can agree to restart the match from that point on. If one of the players does not want to restart, then it is up to the Host of that tournament or the ITST Management to decide on this matter.
- ITST will keep a record of Lag complaints, both, of the accused party and the accuser
- ITST may ask a player to resolve his connectivity issues, issue a warning
- ITST may suspend a player from participating in tournaments if their connection is a source of constant complaints
- ITST will issue immediate ban if a player found to be causing lag on purpose, to gain an unfair advantage
Let us all do our absolute best to have a pleasant and fun experience and atmosphere on TE tour. Thank you for your time.
Setting Delay:
- The Host of a match can set the Delay. As a standard it should be set to Auto and as long as Auto Delay is not higher than 150ms there is no need to set it manually.
- If both players agree to set the delay manually (due to high Auto delay, i.e. above 150ms) then they should do as follows:
1. Take halve of the average ping, go to the next highest option available in setting it manually. Example: Average ping is 300ms, then halve of it is 150ms and the next highest option is 167ms.
2. If this has resulted in too much lag, go one option higher in setting delay. In the example above it would be 184ms.
