Welcome to all participants.

ITST Open started 3 years ago and is the official tournament of ITST. We are running this event yearly alongside ITST WTF for the players who did not qualify for the end of the year event.

The draw is out:

Spencercarlos (Federer) def. Napalm (DelPo) 6:7 7:6 7:6

Serious Tennis. I lost our last match quick and painlessly. This time ... was really painful. I guess for both sides.

Ouch 12-10 in the last tie-break, that's should have been stressfull. But you can only progress from matches like that, whatever the final score is ;)

r16 Florian (delpo) def. Vlad449 (federer) 6-2 7-6(1) The constant freezes between the games were longer than the lengh of my own service games...but i wanted to mention something actually : he did the morphing stuff drop shot => groundstroke winner at deuce on his service game in the 2nd set, i decided not to write about it in the chat because i wasn't sure about what policy applies here (it is strictly forbidden to do this on managames tour), so may anyone tell me if that's forbidden here too ?
Anyway gg&gl

Explain, because I seem to lack imagination for what "morphing stuff drop shot" could be. In the rules for MG Tour I have not found anything about drop shots.

Well let's say we've all seen many times djokovic and federer f.ex approaching the ball inside the court, they seem to attack it and at the last second they make a drop shot. This is ok. But the reverse movement is totally un-doable ( preparing a drop shot and at the very last millisecond hitting a big winner), simply because you need time to prepare such a big shot. The problem is that you can do it in TE, and everybody knows it's a flaw in the game. That's why in managames everybody was aware that doing that was forbidden (can't tell you where it's posted though).

You are right C4iLL, it is a real pity! I still cannot understand how I succeeded in missing so many break opportunities. I have to acknowledge Michael played quite amazing in the most deciding moments of the match, while I completely cracked up. Hopefully I won't make those kinds of mistakes next season. If I am not able to learn from that match, my odds of snatching a first title on the ITST Tour will not be good.

If you want to have a look at my brand new tutorial on how to miss break opportunities, I invite you to watch the .dmo file of the match, which could be christened as "The Clutch Player and the Choker".

Congrats on your win Michael and good luck in the ITST Open! :-)

See you!
