1.17e/f/g/h download : (21mb)https://mega.co.nz/#!JN8Q0AYA!xUpl8kzx- ... amFhZXLJoshttps://www.mediafire.com/?mmw8h4m25325jmxHere we go. This patch installer is ment as an incremental patch, to be installed over your TE+1.17d install (it needs 1.17d to work). It will create 4 shortucts on your desktop, named ITST117e, ITST117f, ITST117g, ITST117h, wich are respectively starting 4 different versions (Tennis Elbow main shorcut / .exe still launching 1.17d).
There is no roster/character stats changes, these are only aimed as surfaces testing.
Important note :Only the 8 first courts, reference ITST surfaces are modified. , so you want to only test these courts (other courts will still have 1.17d physics). Only exception is 1.17h wich also contains 3 additional modified Plexicushion courts (AO courts).
You will find 4 different sets of surfaces as detailed in this spreadsheet :
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 43z9Q9_qGM1.17e being the slower one, to 1.17h being the faster set. Surface 'sets" are not carved in stone either, we can still
mix up for example a surface from 1.17f with some of 1.17h in the final release (grass for example wich is not much linked to hard courts values range).
As i wrote above, In addition you'll find in 1.17h, 3 additional Plexi courts modified (the 3 AO courts), because i think Plexicushion bounce is more representative at a value of 0.83 or very close to (maybe higher in real world but that leads to more gameplay issues, so we'll reserve the high bounces to clay only), thus if we're going around 0.828 or 0.83, this probably needs to be compensated by a lower friction (higher value as it's inverted).
The 4 surface sets are still not exhaustive, so if you want more sufraces/values to test, feel free to ask here for a new set of values. It'll be pretty quick and easy for me to pack more versions if needed.
Don't hesitate to voice your opinions and preferences here, being a top player, average or modest skilled player, everyone opinion counts.
I think about one full week on testing on this one. It would be nice to plan 1.17 release around the end of next week-end, 8th or 9th march.
Wich also means some last testing with characters, then validation. I think the heavy guys are probably on the edge of balance (high edge for some of them), but anyway not far from, so we can just stay like this, or make some last, slight adjustements (without yielding to fear and being conservative gimping them too much though). On a sidenote about Berdych as an example, during their tests on 1.17d Cement, Vramvrim as (Ferrer), being defeated by Richie(Berdych) (
http://i.gyazo.com/e95dfa03dea284a7efdb9c57c5eaae01.png), Richie not being much under pressure during rallies as you can see with the stats, Vram(Berdych) def. Richie(Nishikori) (
http://i.gyazo.com/2a0df92c560de966ff6ebfc773c4fca9.png), and finally, Vramvrim (Simon) defeated Rich[Berdych) (
http://i.gyazo.com/f82e014f5edfeea0eb4fa09f8cadbd24.png), wich also shows there is nothing impossible there. It will be interesting to check how it goes with the new batches of surfaces as well, being about Berdych or Tsonga group.
If any modifications regarding Berdych (if you feel it's necessary during your tests), you can use -0.5 RA (lowering tonicity to 63, he would be 64/63 (SP/TO) then), and/or putting FH power to 88.5 instead of 89. These are just some directions to follow if you are up to fine tune this category if you feel it necessary during your tests.
Lowering counter can help as well when it comes down to tweak hard hitters, so you can go into this territory as well (Cilic for example may be a bit safer balance wise, with a lower counter like 73 vs 77, it makes some difference when the character steps inside the court).
