Florian, you won a rigged match, but your lost one of the rare friendly relation you have around. This is another common point you share with your greatest nemesis friend AlexJasmins : two guys from Managames I defended till I realised their true nature and how other people are actually right about them...

Now, I'm truly disgusted after such a joke-match, and above all, by what I read here, I'm absolutely ready to stop playing this game. What's the point to play competitions on a game that Randomly (or not) gives an advantage to a player ?

Woowhat played a wonderful match, far better than yours Florian, he would have deserved 100 times more to beat me than you yesterday. The exchanges were extremely powerful and I would have applauded him if had won this.

Not a joke as what we played yesterday, where the ball floated like a volley ball and where it was absolutely impossible to hit a winner. Not a game completely rigged by delay.

PS : Tdbchess, I'm absolutely not interested by a rematch, so go ahead. The stuff I express here are not done in any interest, I just say what I think.

PS 2 : Elio, you're definitely right about the spirit. The spirit the managames people brang was not good. In exhibitions, they may be okay, but as soon as they loose a set in official, they invent things to break the ryhtm, crash the PC, talk about turtles etc.
What is REALLY funny, is that when they win sets, they don't talk about turtles, they don't crash etc.
Complete Assholes these guys. Fortunately, they are not a lot around.

I'm just gonna say it as nicely as I can for my last post about it : you re accusing me to have been tweaking the connex in order to win the match, which is insane. You don't even want to think about Vmoe's explanation which could be the reason it could feel weird to me. But what happened is that we played the whole match with the same connex, so how do you explain the fact that I lost the 1st set and won easily the next ones ?

Now you saw you didn't receive the support you expected there you re acting like a drama queen and I'm sorry to see how far a loss can bring you.

I'm not angry at you, I m just annoyed when I'm obliged to play in weird conditions because all I want is to have fun while playing and it wasn't the case between both of us. I was annoyed even if I was able to turn it around, another day I could very much lose such a match when conditions disturb my game.

Now let s move on, and please stop saying you are gonna quit since you re pissed, because this is really immature and definitely looks AlexJasmins-like to me.

One down: VMoe86 (Federer) defeats butcher (Dimitrov), 7-6 (5), 7-6 (1), 2-6, 6-3

For the first time I don't feel like writing a match report, simply having the desire to skip all that stuff. :p This match started on Sunday, where I won the first set, but it was interrupted by Desyncs and so we decided to rehost for 2nd set, resetting router and so on. Second set I was up 2-0 (no Desyncs!) and suddenly they were there again, so we stopped and investigated that issue. With Elias these Desyncs could be reproduced, but Elias and butcher did not have them. Consequently I was willing to give WO to butcher and cancel my Sign Up for Wimbledon. butcher declined, he even declined replaying whole match, because it was the same for both. Great player, great sportsman, a pity we met that early!

It took longer to fix that issue, so we could not finish match on Monday, but finally on Tuesday evening. There were no problems today at all. :) First set we warmed up and in 2nd got to 2-0 for me, 15-0 with butcher serving. He started aggressive, held comfortably for 1-2 and I was completely overwhelmed in my first service game, he broke me easily. It was 2-2 and he also got to 3-2, but he had to save one or two break points to manage that. Finally I found some more groove and held for 3-3, it continued that way until 4-4. There I got to some break chance and converted one, serving for the 2nd set. I knew it was important to win this set, especially with me having invested more Stamina than him, but I got tight, had one set point, but I did not play it well. He broke and held for 6-5 afterwards, me serving to stay in the set -- perfect service game there! In the tie break I was investing a lot in every point and won it then 7-1, I did not want to let this set go and I didn't, phew.

My Stamina now was 50% OE (for quite some time in 2nd set), his was a bit better, like two or three bars. So, I decided to still give it all in 3rd set until mid of it, to see if I could win in straight sets. I could not finish points early anymore, or very rarely, after a good serve, because my OE was under 50% and IE even lower most of the time... We exchanged breaks at the beginning, until he was up a break, 3-2. I got to 15-40 on his service game, two break back points, which I did not convert. Then I let that set go, to at least get back some Stamina for 4th set.

4th set was a combination of end of 2nd set and middle of 3rd set: A bit better Stamina for both, but also many draining rallies. I got one break, luckily, then I focused on holding serve and he also kind of waved the white flag when I was serving it out, making two errors on balls he would not have missed before.

It was great movement from both of us, so good that we were able to neutralize each other in this match-up, which made the match depend quite a bit on luck on low Stamina points, ridiculous exchanges at the net with weird balls on which we both had to LOL! sometimes. The drama was there, but not really exciting rallies, to be honest -- something we both agree on, so back to work for ITST Mod 1.16.

Good luck at Wimbledon, butcher, please no R16 encounter with you! Next up is Richie for me, rematch from Rome Final. :)

QF Florian def. Tdbchess 6-1 6-0 6-4

Irrelevant match, we used to play some good level matchs a month ago when he was practicing hard for RG which permitted him to reach QF here, but tonight he had to play on another pc, reason why he wasn't that competitive. Sorry there won't be a .dmo since we had to rehost because his antivirus started in the middle of the 2nd set. GL on grass.

To explain my defeat, first quality of my opponent added to this late hour, game starts at midnight no other options, the first time I played too late and to crown it, all I didn't played with my pc.

Shame for me that I could not defend my chances to bottom it was either that or the wo

Worth a final: Richie1308 (Gasquet) defeats VMoe86 (Federer), 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1), 7-6 (7)

It is a tough loss, three tie breaks, but what quality that was! I don't want to go much into details, Richie deserved the win in the end for some insane play/defence when I was up 3-0 in 1st set tie break, was serving for the 2nd set, was serving for 3rd set or was up 3-0 in 3rd set tie break. Granted, I felt extremely lucky how I even broke him three times in the whole match and was in the position to serve for the sets. This match deserved at least 4 sets or so, but there are days when things go your way (like against butcher) or go for your opponent.

I leave Paris without any regrets and will play Wimbledon without any practice on grass it seems, so I have to see how that goes. :) Once again, congrats Richie, good luck in SF!

I don't want to remember. You should find something in all tie breaks or at 5-4 in 2nd set or 5-3 in 3rd set. Brrr, set point in 3rd set tie break and Richie two times hits the net cord, I hit a stupid drop shot out of disbelief into the net. :p

Anyway, off to Lake Constance -- hopefully no flood awaiting me!

Not much to add, the level of this match was just insane where we both played very very well during the whole match and it's a shame it was only 3 sets cause it could have been a insane marathon. I'll just add the stats :
Image

10 points difference, 11 points difference in tie-breaks, it pretty well sums it up. And for Elio, the biggest points were always by far at the end of the sets, first set tie-break, second set from the moment he serves for the match and the same for the third (where I think the game where he serves for the set is the one with the highest quality of the match, especially considering how important this moment is) and the third set tie-break was just crazy as Vmoe said, the net cords on a desesperate defense on the set point and all. 8)
