Well I for one believe the mod is great, just some of the characters have a lack of balance, Krygios is a flat hitter but its made that he has way too much topspin, I suggest to lower the topspin on him a bit, I also feel that the dimitrov new bh animation is a little disappointing, very hard to use, the service animation is great. I think that instead of Zverev you should've put a more "experienced" player in, Zverev is too young and he is very weak, no point in really putting him, I agree maybe Steve Johnson could've been put in or someone along that nature. The speed is great and its good to know we can actually use the accels now.

I just think the overall pace and speed is too unrealistic. It seems that every ball is being hit at more than 90 mph.

For me, this mod is as close to realism as possible.
Just one thing about Marin Cilic character:
His ball toos animation. Its too high. He doesent toss the ball that high.
Cant wait for full version release of 1.17

I think nadals forehand power is too low, increase it to 2-3 points.
Besides, why has Rafa no special forehand accleration anim? Lucian has done perfect Rafa animations for all his strikes.

It looks great, but I agree with the notation about pace and speed, which I'd lower a bit. Changing the inertia of a rally has become more difficult than before, despite the strenghtening of approach shots as well as the increased sensation of heaviness for characters, and this often causes a "the harder you shoot the more chances you'll have to get the point" situation pretty similar to a mutual cannonade.
Talking about anims, some of the new ones look a bit tricky to manage on the run but nothing really problematic; by the way I'd replace Brown's serve with something more fluid (Dolgopolov's?) in order to incentivize his trademark serve & volley style, making it more faithful to the real one.

By the way, speed has not been increased itself (except for the slow/heavy characters to balance them better against our faster characters, who are still at the same speed mark as before).
What renders the rallies pace faster, is an increase of power, or mostly, a reduced power gap, between the different spin categories, also making 'outsiders' characters closer to the high profile ones (originally called T1's) characters, wich is intended mostly for balance. This and the 2% power gap reduction between 1H and 2H backhands, resulting of more ball speed coming out from one handeds.

The last thing being the fastening of surfaces, wich will not stay as it is in this test version, especially regarding Blue Green Decoturf, Indoors, & grass bounces (so better testing mostly on Clay, Plexicushion and Cement for now).

djarvik i will tell you my thoughts over the mod .
The gameplay is so good cant say anything about that, but i think u can update the scoreboards because antimouse has nice scoreboards for 2014 season so u can update them
denizdhalafan has really nice outfits so u can use his outfits for the itst 1.17 and also the problem with dimitrov-he holds the racquet more up than others if u can fix it it will be great. Also if u can make the default outfits for the top players for example nadal, federer, dimitrov and others to their ao 2015 outfits
Keep up the great work :)

1.17d download : (183mb)

https://mega.co.nz/#!dVMWmSxS!s_qmfJQee ... ixycBFc9us

Install :

Just install over your current 1.17c previous install. Don't forget to let the sound decompression finish by itself before closing the installer.

Once installation is finished, you can go manually in your /Mods folder, and delete the ITST117c folder wich is now useless and will free around 400mo.

Ok so, a next step, 1.17d, with some stats, anims binds updated, i won't enter in details there is nothing huge. Merely adjustements, volleyers setup being improved (in the 70/70.5 speed range and better net presence), only tradeoff
being a standard power or -0.5 on a wing, a lower but still decent precision & consistencies scheme, that's not a lot,
but makes a difference from the baseline thru the length of a match. Though it's also bovious that a good player, if better than you, can very well win playing from the baseline with them. We'll see how it goes and they may still be adjusted for the final version (some feedback is welcome as usual).

. Most notable change is with the surfaces wich are now as following :

Plexicushion 0.58 / 0.83
Cement 0.585 / 0.825
Blue-Green 0.59 / 0.823
Indoor 0.607 / 0.818
Clay 0.567 / 0.852 (closer to Madrid clay than it was in 1.16).
Madrid Clay 0.57 / 0.85 (same as 1.16)
Grass 0.58 / 0.77 (same as 1.16)
Wimbly Grass 0.59 / 0.79 => (same as 1.16)

Surfaces that should be reviewed, are Decoturf Blue Green, and indoors. Offline it felt pretty good with
the current setup. This Decoturf is 1.16 Decoturf with 0.823 instead of 0.83 bounce. Thats not too low either.
Indoor is another question, it bounces noticeably higher compared to 1.16 indoors, but also provides more
speed after bounce. We can still decrease a bit the friction if needed. The bounce 0.818 vs 0.80 in 1.16, is
a noticeable change, but it's not spin heaven either. Still looking forward to know how it feels online and adjust it if
needed.

I tested and included some new 3D courts wich looks pretty nice (from Maxou @Manames http://www.managames.com/Forum/topic29-15872.php ). You can test them using the 8 first ITST
reference surfaces courts. You should also find them binded to the Grand Slams in the list,
and some additional ones, Monte Carlo, Rome, Barcelona, if i remember well.
Some of them are pretty nice, especially Wimbledon one, wich i used as well for standard grass,
and Miami is pretty nice as well. They come with proper outfit colors for linejudges and ballboys,
textured parasols.

Yep there is MC (Not the best one i think but OK court), Barcelona as well, with some shadow on the clay.

Got some report from Djarvik/Don, Zverev/Ferrer, Ferrer being a monster in this match-up. That was playing on cement. On the other hand i think Isaldor reported me about a Ferrer-Federer wich was very pleasant to play (wich to me means it felt approx balanced). So if some of you guys can dig this a bit, could be informative (to know if Zverev needs a bit more, or Ferrer needs to be toned down a bit). If Zverev needs a better reaction time/usability of the FH, for example, it could be possible to switch him to standard consistencies (85FH/78BH), and standard precisions (+6/0), wich would build some very good and reactive, well powered FH. Though it would probably be less spot on regarding the real player, but may help for balance whenever he needs to be more effective, so you can try this way. Don't hesitate to modify a bit stats when you think you notice an imbalance, and replay a set to check if it's any better.

Ferrer 1.17 is not very different from 1.16 one, mostly wings were 84.5/83 powered and are now 85/84, and counter got +1. slight power increase like most of the spinners. Though his BH could be lowered to 83.5, if needed. Or stay at something like 84.5/83.5, though i'm not sure Ferrer is faulty there. Testing Zverev vs. some other character like Djokovic could bring some info about him being balanced enough as well.

I only get the Vanilla sound in the game because the black window supposed to uncompress the sounds insta closes at the install. So in the end I have no sound in the mod folder.

Right, i just checked and i spotted a mistake in the decompression batch (i forgot to update the sound folder path in UnpackSound.bat).

I'll correct it and post a new installer in a few.

In the meantime, you can fix it manually this way :

open UnpackSound.bat in notepad, and edit the following line :

Code: Select all
"Mods\ITST117c\oggdec.exe" "Mods\%~1\Sound\*.ogg" 2>NUL

to

Code: Select all
"Mods\ITST117d\oggdec.exe" "Mods\%~1\Sound\*.ogg" 2>NUL

save, then launch manually the UnpackSound.bat to execute.
It'll decompress the sound FX and you'll be fine.
