Yesterday played firs part of my match against Michael, suspended for rain, we will cotinue on Saturday  After connected to my opponent, he had an Elo of 2400 and MAESTRO ranking, so i expected a hard match for me :? First set lost 6-4, on 4-4 on his serve was 0-30 but couldn't create break points and him win the game and broke me after , so first set was 6-4 for him. Then match suspended on 3-3. Great match, he is one of the 4 best players i have played against. He have a new way for return serve, never seen nothing as this, when i will post the replay you can see.I am a good server, but seems impossible to hit an ace...I found this player in online mode, so i found my Us open Killer maybe.....

Ugadalou (Fish) vs RODRIGUES16 (Federer) 6-3/6-4/7-6

Both of us hit an extraordinary 1st serve % near 80%.I didn't have any problems on my serve,in fact I don't think I faced a break point.

On Rodrigues' serve though he was serving well and then attacked aggressively going for the lines.
He had success doing that and could keep up at high pace exchanges.

In first 2 sets I managed to get a break with deep returns or some uncharacteristic errors from my opponent and that was it.
Final set he raised his game even more and kept it at a high level during the whole set,I was glad to close it up in straights.

Rodrigues is a player with potential and showed great signs of talent. In time he'll improve his return game and be a very strong player.Wish you the best in the tour!

If you play the original on-line mode (without mods), you will see that a lot of players use this way to receive, like standing almost in the middle of the court. It can be effective, but it appears very weird for me... :?

Have anyone else tried it?

Algo4 (Ferrer) vs iBullet91 (Murray) 6-2 6-1 6-1

Very tough opponent! And my first experience of playing against a Ferrer character.

This match was not a serve dominated match at all. I served the worst I've ever served only hitting 5 aces in 3 sets! Sometimes I can serve 10 aces in a set. Algo I think hit around 3 aces in the match.

The match had quite a few long rallies. Mostly won by Algo. He managed to reach all my shots.

Congrats Algo and good luck in the next round :)

I better practice lots more before the next tournament.

I really prefer court 2. I believe (cant check at the moment) that court 1 is too close for me personally and court 3 looks a bit weird.

In the game you have three options for US Open courts. I prefer the second option. I thought that is what you where asking.

Yeah, of course. :) But because there is Louis Armstrong Night, Louis Armstrong Day and Grand Slam tennis 2, and when you said Court 2, I thought you're talking about Grand Slam tennis 2, but now you said that this is the second option - Louis Armstrong Day. :)

Lost my match against Michael 4-6 6-7 4-6. As you see it was a close match, my oppnonent is really great but first time in an Itst match(many years) i wanted to give up and exit the match because i was angry for his playstyle. I remember that he is a great player, but i play for funny and i don't enjoy more if my opponent hits 10-15 drops and lobs and score 100% of this points and if in return of my serve use a new tip, something never saw but that helps yourself to avoid aces. His positioning was in the middle of return zone and with this tip he reach my very good wide serve (as my opponent says). So for fair play i didn't quit the match but first time since tour started i think that for some weeks i will not play more tournaments, because i don't like new tips that take off realism at this beautiful game! go in my new post and i will put a video of the things that i am talking about.
I repeat that Michael is a great player, and he is an expert player of normal online mode. Maybe for this he know some tips.
Is funny play a match without chance to use serve as a weapon?

From what I've noticed people who play competitively vanilla version or ManaGames tour do this a lot.
I thought that with our lowered realistic stats we would have a shielding barrier for that here in ITST.That play style was the survival tactics that developed for 100% stats in serve, wings and speed.
Interesting that your opponent picked Dolgopolov to do that, the fastest player in the roster considering his height and 91% speed stat.If you have the full replay,I'd be interesting to see these tactics in action.

I have the impression Manutoo realised how unrealistic that was, hence introduced the inertia parameter in the game.

Hi to everybody here, i am new to this tour and actually will be playing on the challengers next week. I am active player on the Manutoo tour but i have a lot of fun playing the modded ITST tour game so why not try as well.

That being said i have been following this thread and i can tell you that Manutoo already made a step backward with the inertia stuff with his last update, so the players turned on fast again with it. So if you complain on how fast this Dolgopolov is with the e version of the game, the f one will be way worse then..

I won't be sleeping well ;): Knight621 (Federer) defeats VMoe86 (Davydenko) 6-1, 6-3, 6-4.

I said it to Ugadalou before the US Open: "Don't worry, I'll get the toughest draw. :p" And Knight621 is a great player and nice guy to talk to, so congrats to him, he deserves this win and a possible clash with Fox in the QF.

About the match, due to some windy and rainy conditions in New York it started one hour later than initially scheduled. Federer is known to play well in tricky conditions and so did Knight, he breezed through the first set, while I struggled with the Russian ballmachine.

But in the second set, I was finding my range. We had good rallies, but I had to take a bit more risks (maybe I did not, but I did take them) and made more errors, because Knight was defending really well in addition to his attacks. Returning serve was difficult in these conditions, never managed it consistently well in this match. However, second serves I started crushing in 2nd and 3rd set. Knight managed the important points better than me, second set he was hardly in trouble on serve.

I did not give up, though. Even after starting the third set with losing my service immediately, I broke back and consolidated the break. Then I had huge chance, as I always seem to have them, a 0-40 on his serve. I think all three break points were second serves, not sure anymore. I set up a fourth break point, but that was saved with a good one-two punch. We then held serve until 4-4, when it was me who crumbled, Knight was serving for the match. I saved two match points with good play, third one I could not.

At Wimbledon I got the uprising Fox in R16, here I got the uprising Knight in R32. Both of them excellent players, I bet they will meet in the QF. :p

My quest with Davydenko ends here. His serve definitely can be a liability, especially in these conditions (one plays it a bit safer here). His baseline game is strong enough to keep up with Federer, so I think he will be fine with a bit more spin.

Here are the stats:

PS: Shame on everyone for not providing match reports for some good matches. ;)
