Hello guys. Sadly, I have to announce that Roland Garros, whether I'll win or not the final, will be my last tourney.
There are many reasons why, but I'll tell you the main two:
- the game is still fun, but no more enough to create the motivation needed for training and, at least, keeping a good level. Since the beginning of the year, I haven't been able to keep my motivation up through the whole tourney, so I ended up playing mediocre matches in semifinals and finals;
- I'm a gamepad breaker. Maybe it's my fault, because I use to be too "aggressive" while playing, using buttons and analog stick with too much power. Thus, usually my pads last no more than 3 months, so I have to replace them 4-5 times a year. It's not a matter of money, since I manage to get free replacements under warranty almost all times. The problem is that every gamepad is unique and may require even more than a week to adapt to, even if the brand and model are the same.That means that I played many important matches in sub-optimal conditions.
It's not that great to leave after my best year so far, also considering that it's maybe the highest level era of the ITST TE tour - Vramvrim, Pidzi and Richie are imho the players who have won the most in the tour history, and have been very active in the first half of this season and the last half of the previous one. Neither it's great to leave after the best result of my career - RG final in the worst case -, and just before my favourite tournament, Wimbledon, but that shows how low my motivation is, so I don't deserve keeping on gaining nice results without caring much about them.
I'd just want to thank all players and staff for gifting me a great time during all matches. Of course, it will never be a farewell, since I always look forward making a great comeback, stronger than before, maybe when the new TE will be released. This time, though, it will be much different, as I'll try to switch to a different control system: maybe keyboard, maybe a gamepad with an innovative movement system, who knows...
Goodbye and good luck to all for next tourneys!
