4-6, 6-7 against Elias (Monfils), a nice match where I missed too much opportunities - I led 4-2 in the first set and had 1 set point occasion on my serve in the tie-break of the second set :'(

But he puts a lot of pressure, and the result is then deserved as he managed better the important points ;)

I still continue my progression, I'll be your nightmare @ Roland !!

Yes, it was a very good match, one of the most entertaining i played since the start of this tour. A nice style opposition. It was very refreshing to play vs a good S&V player.

Congrats to C4ill for his progress, as Ugadalou said, he has a good cover at the net, i did many errors trying to pass him, or trying to return faster vs his spin serves, and he closed many points with good clean volleys. Still it was on clay, vs a defender, so i had a speed edge here, especially with Monfils.

He deserved to win a set, especially the second one :)

We played with very few desyncs, it was pretty enjoyable, but still enough here and there to corrupt the replay (i checked it), so i won't post it, it's not worth it.

gl in your next matches C4ill !

Tonight I had my first match as Dimitrov against tonigno, who used Wawrinka. We first played a set in a match, where Desyncs occurred on his serve. After the first set, which I won 7-5, we had a little chat (he thought Desyncs cost him some aces) and suddenly I lost the connection. We reconnected, no Desyncs anymore and I offered to play another full match due to fair play.

It was key to serve well, both of us won around 80% points on the first serve. But I won over 80% of second serve points and he only 24% -- that was the key. Once I got a good return I felt confident, although it is not that easy to hit through Wawrinka on clay with Dimitrov. It was a good match and when I was serving for the match he started to return well and got his first two break points, but I saved them and won.

By the way, I will definitely extend the deadline until tomorrow, maybe until Sunday, but I expect more discipline and effort in scheduling matches. ;)

Another fun and competitive match against L Sanchez MD.Final score 6-3,6-3 but it was much closer that it looks like.He certainly had his chances ,especially in the first set.We played some nice long clay rallies as he put a lot of pressure on my 2nd serves.
The connection was near flawless as we had very few desynchs and lag-turtles.

Yes, the first set of this was very high quality. I got several breakpoints, but Ugadalou used some clever serving to save them.
Towards the end of the set, I got broken, then it was over.
We were quite even in long rallies, with no quick winners usually, so I started throwing in dropshots, which were quite effective.
Second set there was a bit of lag, but only in one or two games.
I got broken immediately, but things were still quite competitive, and I broke back a few games later.
Timing seemed very difficult with the volleys, and we both dumped a few into the net.
I got broken back, and that was that. Still quite a competitive match, and very fun.
Ugadalou used a high loop return of serve that was very effective in stopping me from dictating behind my serve, as the returns landed very deep.

Just had a good match against eliomelma, which I lost again: 6-7, 1-6. We both were playing as Dimitrov.

In the first set he broke me immediately, but I got to 5-2 very quickly. Then I simply handed the break back when serving for the set at 5-3. It headed to a tie break and as it was throughout the whole first set it was me who attacked and eliomelma who defended. I made the errors until he had four set points at 6-2. All of which I saved with brave play. I got two set points myself, but I think I squandered all of them with errors. No one is defending better than eliomelma, no one! Combine that with clay and Dimitrov not being the best at taking balls early (I tend to play a bit closer to the baseline), so it is all reasonable to make errors against him.

Before the second set he took a toilet break, so that I had even more time to think about that first set -- not good for me. Being broken from 30-0 up, being broken from 30-15 up, I kind of gave up at 0-4. I was just curious to see how he would react to me just junkballing and so we were slicing almost constantly in one service game, in which I broke him. I didn't fint it particularly interesting, so I went back to making errors. :P

In total I was way too impatient, which is not good against such a great defender like eliomelma. Fortunately clay season is over soon. :)

Thanks to Vmoe86's words! Yes we played a beautiful first set, the better that i played since the begin of the tour. We played with the same player, it isn't good for realism but it is good to play with same players without advantages. So his playstyle was to attack , my playstyle is defend on clay. In first set i broke him soon to 2-0 but in a few time he was leading 5-2 and in his hands the set. At this time there was my comeback to 5-5 and we arrived to tiebrak. I will post the whole match, but if one doesn't want spend more time to watch an entire match, the tiebrak IS WORTH THE TICKET PRICE. Amazing! i was leading 6-2 with 1 serve, and he plays without fear and comebacks and returns to 6-6, then he had 2 set points but become impatients to end the points, make errors and finally we closed to 11-9 for me. Beautiful! The second was quick, he had ended up his mental energies.

Just won vs RussianBoy 6-3 6-2. Good game, pretty fast paced match, he scored some good winners and successful volleys, though he made a bit too much placement errors wich costed him too much points i think, wich explains the result.

As a note :

i still couldn't play a match with Djokovic in this tournament because of desyncs, too much desyncs to finish a point hosting and playing Djokovic.
vs Sanchez_md, we also changed chars, and played Monfils (me) vs Gasquet,
and this time RussianBoy used Federer, and i used Monfils, and we played desync free.

Sometimes I don't even hit the ball at all, reason being that I want to hold the shot button down earlier but have completely misjudged the trajectory of the ball. This happens very often when my opponent hits an awkward shot, i.e. mistimes his shot and creates a ridiculous angle that way.

Just watched parts of my match against eliomelma, god, I should have drop shotted all match long -- eliomelma is standing so far behind the baseline, did not even notice that when we played.
