The full schedule for the 2016 Season is out:
ITST TE Tournaments
Lets answer some questions that may arise. This topic is locked, so that new questions will be added only by ITST Management (send a PM to me, djarvik or Elias, for example).
A tournament I signed up for suddenly disappeared. What happened?
This only happens when there are multiple tournaments starting on the same day. Say, Tournament A has 28 of 32 possible sign ups, Tournament B has 17 of 32 possible sign ups. We then change status of Tournament A from "Sign Up" to "Pending" so that players can only sign up for Tournament B; a consequence of this is that players having signed up for Tournament A do not see anymore that they did so.
When will the rest of the tournaments be available for Sign Up?
A Tournament will be up for Sign Up at least a week before it starts. We will try to have always 4 weeks available for Sign Up.
What about Challengers?
There are plenty of Challengers to participate in this season. Some of them do not have full name because the ATP/ITF schedule after March for Challengers and Futures is not out, yet. In some weeks players have to decide between a Challenger or 250s tournament.
Will there be a Challengers Ranking
The plan is to have an automated Challengers Ranking on the ITST Site. Until this is ready we use a Google Docs Spreadsheet as in the last season. It will include all players having participated in a Challenger and the points they got awarded. At the end of the season we can crown a Challengers Champion or have a Challengers Final.
Will there be Davis Cup?
Davis Cup has been tried in the past and, for different reasons, it always failed. We would like to try again but we see one main problem: there are not enough teams for a realistic Davis Cup. Right now I see 4 or 5 countries that could deliver 3 players who are reliable over the course of a full season. If we get 8 countries and 3 players per country (2 for Singles and 1 for Doubles) we will try again. You can PM me with a team or post it as a new topic in the following forum:
