Suggestions for introducing new players.

Postby Uchiha Muss » Sat, 20 Apr 2013 21:11

I just got bored so I wanted to throw out some ideas out there. In addition I also want to say that I'm a "pro-variation" player meaning I use players like nalbandian, baghdatis, monfils, llodra on my tour matches. Haven't won anything with them but at least I enjoy them. I have played 300 matches and counting on the ITST mod and I can say that some players are never picked. Even I don't want to pick them, also I don't even know them.
Back to the main point. This mod has the top 17 players from the official rankings. But after that players like Seppi, Monaco, Querrey are missing. Janowicz and benneteau who defeated federer should be considered. These are the 5 main contenders for my wishlist.
For the disposal bag, I want to add players such as: goffin who's too short and tiny. nishikori who is too weak and has no advantage whatsoever to any player at all. Melzer who is weak compared to other lefties like llodra, verdasco, nadal and lopez so he can easily be replaced with someone else. All these players I mentioned, have never been used against me so I'm guessing they are not cared for at all.

Dimitrov, Dolgopolov are also good players you should try !

The problem is that when you check outside top20, the ATP players have no weapons that the top20 hasn't, except guys like Gulbis maybe with his big FH. So nobody will pick them to play with...

Personally I think we'd need more players for Davis Cup : an italian guy, Seppi and/or Fognini just for the italian community + Janowicz. Benneteau has no specificity like Monaco, and there already argentina players with Del potro Nalbandian a,d french... Plenty of !

Yeah I agree on more Italian players for the Italians. France has boat load of them, germany has haas, us has isner and harrison. So most countries with lots of members have what they want. But italians are lacking natives.
I decided not to play with one BH players so that rules out dmitrov. Dologopolov has that weird animation that I couldn't grasp. I don't have sympathy towards him anyway.

I think that in the future we'll have a 40-45 players roster. Now it's too early because we're still stuck balancing attack and defense and other stuffs. At the moment, all the modding work is done just by elias, supported by vmoe, djarvik and a very few others when there's the need of choices. This team isn't big enough to quickly expand even more our roster. In a future, when we'll reach 300-400 players, they'll probably decide to expand their team with at least another modder and will pick more initiatives.
