FelipeM(đoković) def. butcher(federer) 6-1 4-6 7-6

simply unbelievable match! to summarize : i was losing 6-1 3-0 and felipe was serving. after that... the score was 6-1 4-6 6-6 and i was leading 4-0 in tie break. in the end... i lost the match :D

Image

1st set:
i did put pressure on his first two service games. had 0-30 and 15-30 but he made it without any break point and was leading 2-1. at the time i thought : "this is good. i have chances". he proved i'm wrong. he destroyed me 6-1. i had no break points. i was playing bad, but not so bad. felipe was really good.

2nd set:
felipe broke me two times and lead 3-0 and was serving. i knew i needed to change something and i knew i was not aggressive as i can be. i almost fell apart and was thinking to give up but decided to try to break him. if i didn't i would have probably just let it go. and i made it. barely. he had AD-40. kept my serve and immediately broke him once more. was playing very aggressive and gained confidence. he had break point on 3-3 but i made it. was leading 5-4 and felipe was serving. it was 40-40. i was lucky and won the point with the net's help. winner for the 6-4.

3rd set:
he broke me in the beginning. i broke back, kept my serve and broke him once again :D 1-3. didn't mean a thing cause he rebroke immediately. we kept our serves until the tie break, no one had any break point. i had problems with stamina because of the very aggressive play in 2nd set so i was playing S&V after 3-3. it turned out that i should have done that on 1-3 cause it was very effective.

Tie break:
S&V winner, felipe's UE, volley winner and FH winner resulted in my 4-0 lead.
three FH winners by felipe for 3-4.
felipe got to 6-5 and had match point. my turn to serve. felipe did the lob and i lost point, tie break, set and match :)

simply fantastic match with fantastic player. he deserved the win, he is better player than me and i wish him all the luck in the next rounds

well obviously he wins. His rank speaks for itself. Also is it me or do Fed and Nole's animations are too quick in the game compared to other player's strike animations

Thanks for the compliments, I think the match key step for a moment, and was allowed to stay out of the game, I was surprised as it was giving up the 6-1 3-0 score, maybe I relaxed a bit and almost cost me the match, in any case, all the merit was yours, you're a great player and I knew, in a good day, erez able to beat anyone, great competitor and fair play. :D

Good luck for the season, I hope you cross paths again, I love playing with the big competitors
