Hi guys,

I've read about that some of the modders are gonna retire (I hope not), but if that is the case could you update Nadal's stats pls ? The 1.16 ITST2 version looked alot better.

About retiring, don't! Just don't.. There must be a way to negotiate with the creator of this game. Don't let it be game over man.

First "Aliens: Colonial Marines", then "Battlefield 4" and now "TE ITST" ?! Im living in the dark age of my gaming period..

they've been "negotiating with creator" for years. You are right, things may change again, I hope they dont retire too.
But I'm confident that Elias has done all he can.

Also, btw, vmoe quoted your "you just have to push" because, first they have been, and 2nd "push", was a tennis pun someone had already used in connection with talking to creator of game. But, hey if we lose top guys, well, I'll just become #1!

I won't let you down anyway, at least not right now. It's just that the mod has been, countless hours of work since, more than a year now, for me and for VMoe as well. Besides technical things, lots of brainstorming, testing, bringing ideas, you know, always trying to bring something better with ITST spirit, taste and likings. You really need some motivation, to get such work done, it's more about a Tour project than just modding.

And after some time you reach some limits of the game and you want more.. i always wrote about gameplay depth, movement helpers etc, as i always thought TE needed some additionnal control mode, being it called custom, whatever, but with more movement freedom and different gameplay elements toggleable or customizable, providing overall more depth wich would suit such online competition better, and as well keep people hooked longer (more room for progression, less of a scripted feeling etc, the last post from pidzi is pretty symptomatic and significant regarding the benefit more gameplay depth would bring viewtopic.php?p=247705#p247705 ).

Now we didn't signed a contract with the game developper to have him bringing new features to the game just for us. It implies some work, and he does what he can/want. We can suggest things, not require. He doesn't owe us anything, besides some standard support on the version we bought, right ? And in this area (and more) he always did extremely well.

We're not always fair in such situations, passion talks Or, frustration talks, 'cause passion vanishes, maybe.
TE is still a very good tennis game, even though it could be better.

ps : and no c4iLL this has nothing to do with pressure or blackmailing, i'm not that kind, that would be pretty childish. Just sincere opinions and thoughts, i don't care if nothing comes, the world will not collapse, texas holdem and GTA5 will still be around, but i may use more time on different projects.

Nicely put, Elias! For me it is a combination of the things you have mentioned. Personally, I will focus on things related around ITST and the ITST Mod than being part of the community as a player from now on.
