Help: playing on small screen

Postby inseedious » Mon, 18 Feb 2013 23:48

I can't manage to find a good balance with the camera playing on my macbook air 11. I play in 3d mode.
I usually prefer far and averagely high cameras, as I can be well positioned for accels/short accels, but this is a big problem because, to me, with this kind of camera the characters are too little to make me correctly follow the game and have good reflexes.
On the other hand, I tried close cameras, but I feel uncomfortable with them because I have problems defending because closer points of view cause a higher perceived speed.
I also use a slightly bigger than normal ball and tried an even bigger one, but that didn't solve the problem.
I'm not sure I'll finally find a solution, but I'm trying to catch some hints from you, as it doesn't cost me anything. I know that cameras are very subjective, but maybe there's someone else who has/had this problem and can help me. I hope I will find the right combination of height/zoom or some tricky setting, otherwise I will be forced to buy a gaming laptop, considering that Elder Scrolls Online is on beta
Thanks :)

At the moment I'm finding a good feeling reducing ball size. Maybe a big ball seems to be slower and more visible, but also covers your opponent's animation, so it's harder to read his intentions.
