El Croato Sounds Package 3.0

Ladies and gentlemen, the main event y'all been waiting for. :D

First of all, I would like to thank all of those who have been supporting my modding work, it is really cool to get so much positive feedback.

But let us get straight to the heart of the matter.

The sound package 3.0 contains :

1. Chair Umpire Sounds (English [World Tour Finals Lahyani and Steve Ullrich remastered with a little bonus], French, German, Spanish *New*)
2. HD World Tour Finals Sounds
3. HD Indian Wells Sounds
4. HD Roland Garros Sounds
5. HD Wimbledon Sounds
6. HD Australian Open Sounds
7. HD US Open Arthur Ashe Stadium Sounds
8. HD US Open Auxiliary Court Sounds
9. HD Rome Clay Sounds (*New*)
10. HD Madrid Clay Sounds (*New*)
11. HD Basel Indoor Sounds (*New*)
12. Net Sound
13. HD English Commentary (widely extended *New* - manual installation recommended)
14. New Stadium Atmosphere
15. New Out Sounds
16. Installation Guide

You can see that new elements have been added into this updated sounds package.

Before installing anything, I strongly recommend you to save your current sound.ini or just rename it 'sound.ini-original'.

Let me now get a few things straight. First, when I talk about a new stadium atmopshere, this means all App0_Quiet, App1_Soft, App2_Medium, App3_Strong and Crowd_Disappointed .wav files have been replaced, to say nothing of those being created and added into the game (Combined with the English commentary, we now have more than 100 samples).

Then, we have new out calls sounds. I actually could not bear hearing the same line judge's voice again and again, so I decided to bring some more variety and add 20 'out' samples, ten of which belonging to indoor tournaments and the other 10 which you'd rather use for outdoor tournaments.

Now, some of you have been asking for some more casual strike sounds, I think their wishes are now fulfilled with those new clay and indoor sounds. As these do not offer more variety than the sounds of tournaments such as Roland Garros or the US Open, I could not follow the same pattern as I usually do. In other words, Hit_Med and Hit_Str will now both have five samples instead of usually ten.

My last remark concerns the World Tour Finals Chair Umpire Sounds folders (Steve Ullrich and Mohamed Lahyani [2013 edition]). Both of those folders contain a subfolder named 'bonus', this is actually nothing out of the extraordinary, but it can further add realism to the game. If you want to give it go, you will have to use a specific sound.ini which you will find in the relevant subfolders. Just copy and paste the files contained therein and that's it.

A little warning : The only thing you will have to keep in mind when you use other chair umpire sounds than the abovementioned ones is to delete the "bonus" sound.ini and use the other sound.ini included in the HD English Commentary folder.

That's all, folks! Enjoying those new sounds and feeling the passion of the game is all I can wish you. ;-)

See you next time and take care!

Why not hosting it on mediafire and linking it?

Actually, I don't have any mediafire account.

Well, let's make it more simple: those who are interested in testing the sound package and selecting the best shot sounds contained therein can send me a PM. ;-)

You can upload even without an account, and there are lots of other hosting sites if you don't like mediafire. It's very easy and I strongly suggest it to you, because making all able to listen those sound is way better than singularly send the file to the interested guys.

I agree with Croato, I'm sure the sound could be increased. I didn't try his pack but I think it can be interesting to, regarding how he created his pack ;)

Thanks for supporting me, C4iLL! :-)

Here is a new link to my London WTF sound package: http://www.filedropper.com/wtf-london2012-elcroato

Forget about the first link, I decided to reduce the number of sound files so that you can directly paste them in your ITST sound folder to test them.

Any advice regarding the improvement of those sounds are more than welcome ;-)

Yep, better to have a small sound pack directly usable :)

i tried some sounds packs out there (didn't tried yours El crato yet), but honestly they sound pretty crap imo, besides Lucian AO sounds wich is pretty nice. Other ones, often you have some bad echo, or the samples are not choosed or cut wisely and the ball impact sound is not sync with the game racket impact, or the sample volume is too low or uneven thru the different shots, etc etc ( ex : http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUGaM ... r_embedded :? )

You can try these packs :

Autralian Open Shot Sounds (Lucian86) : http://www.mediafire.com/?r6ak4aksjjnihel

Roland Garros Sounds (Lucian86) : http://www.mediafire.com/?kaav8c8q7nd3lx1

US Open sounds (Jonosure) : http://www.mediafire.com/?6olqu6f2ixob0np

Lucian AO pack sounds nice imo. Maybe i would enhance the shot samples volumes 20-30% though to make them on par with umpires volume etc.

You are welcome, Ugadalou! ;-)

I have got another surprise for you, ITST players! Just download those sounds and tell me what you think about them.

http://www.filedropper.com/chairumpiresounds

If any of you specialized in sound modding would like to improve those sounds, feel free to do it. I do think we could achieve something great in terms of sound in the near future, for the 1.13 mod for instance.

The ultimate goal would be to have a kind of shot sounds selector available so that we can make our own selection depending on the court we are playing on. There is already a scoreboard selector, so I guess it won't be impossible to have one for the sounds, will it? :-)

One of the issues that may be raised concerns the size of the sound package. Are there limitations? I see that the original ITST sound package is something like 57,6 Mo while mine is 95Mo. If you guys estimate it is way too heavy, I will consider decreasing the bitrate quality to make the package lighter.

It will only be possible if Manutoo includes some core feature in a future TE update, as for now the game only handles one /Sound folder.

Though we can simply maintain a sounds thread with optional sound packs available for download in the meantime.

Or making an automated install with some installer software, including some install options.
