Which Hit- and Aim-Methode do you use?

Postby o Sinna o » Sat, 01 Sep 2012 06:07

Ey Fellas,

after playing the Game now for a few Days, I realized there are two different Methodes, to do the Strike you wanna do.

I am sure you know them, but I wouldn't be to sure about that. ^^

The first you can compare with a real Life Oncourt-Situation, where you have enough Time after a excellent Positioning, to prepare for the Shot. For this Methode, I firstly charge the Shot with the specific Button, because I am already in a good Postion on a early Point of the Rallie and hold it, let's say for a Top Spin for example, because I have enough time to do that, and when the Ball comes close to me, I firstly then press the Direction I wanna control the Shot to, and hold it for a short amount of Time until my Player does his Strike.

The second one is comparable with a real Life Oncourt-Situation, where you are more under Pressure, and don't have the long amount of Time, for a clean Position and where you are just fast and good enough in Postion to do at least your clean Strike. In this Methode I wait until the Ball comes close to me again, but this Time I press the Direction and the Shotbutton I wanna press at the same Time and hold it for a short amount of Time, until my Player does his Strike.

Which one do you use?

Do you use one Methode permanently?

Or do you use them both during a Match in the different Situations I talked about?

As you said, like real life we charge when we are attacking (especially on our service), while we just press the button if we have not time to get the right position (especially in return games). One thing I can't understand is why some running shots, without charging, can touch the baseline, or at least they can be very deep.

These shots simulate the counter shots in real tennis (using opponent's power and redirecting it) and require very good timing,as well as power from the opponent's ball. Also,if you have noticed these shots have a very big landing area, usually covering a span from service line to a little outside the baseline. So they are actually very inaccurate.

Yes, I imagined that it was because of the counter skill, but sometimes they are too efficient to be defensive shots. However, the game is still balanced so never mind
