Tennis Elbow 2011

Postby Ugadalou » Fri, 10 Feb 2012 15:37

I was watching a few videos of this game and was very, very impressed.

Using a simple formula gameplay-wise and in terms of presentation ( the enviroment is pre rendered - not created in real time) this game manages to create a very convincing tennis simulation.

The strokes-service animations are excellent and the ball trajectory is very realistic (look at nadal's ball fro forehand side) and it seems to change for each surface.
The flow of the point is the closest I've seen from a video game.

The roster seems to have amazing depth as well.
Everyone is there-Fed,Nad,Djoko,Murray,Monfils,Tsonga,Roddick,Wawa,Tipsy,Simon,Nalby,DelPo,Berdshit,Soderling,Lopez,Fish,Verdasco,Gasquet,Gonzo,Gulbis,Dimitrov,Tomic
(There is even a video with Victor Hanescu!)

Couldn't help but wonder what a game these guys would create if they had the budget and promotion the major tennis games have (TS,VT,GST)....Maybe the perfect tennis game

Does anyone have more information on this game?Does it have an online mode?I'm currently playing the demo but the videos appear to be from an amazing patch currently unavailable (due to megaupload going down).

Here are some videos of it :

Gulbis serve is spot-on but Fish's strokes especially the FH is off.

Stick with it. The learning curve is a bit steep if I remember correctly.

Also, the pro players are a patch? So are the courts?

This is amazing...Looks so fun....

Why can't we have a game for console like this? Of course with some better graphics and stuff like that but THIS is fun-virtual tennis for me!

Yes they have been created by this http://www.managames.com/Forum/topic29-5363.php nice fella.

Copying from this site:

''Content:
-Players.ATP.ini heavily edited: stats, outfits, EVERYTHING edited for almost the top 150 players (all the players edited have been worked on very sharply as I watch regularly the ATP)
-All top 100 and more have their strokes, outfits, faces (all done by me) ect... very well modded
-Almost all courts of ATP
-Respective scoreboards that change in function of ATP250, 500, 1000 Grand Slams
-technique to change the outfits of the players for tournaments (ex Davis cup, Wimbledon)''

Unfortunately it looks like the download link is down as I mentioned.(due to megaupload being shut down). Some guys said he's preparing a new 2012 patch.

I've looked at the first couple of vids, and I must say the game look impressive. It may look a tad old school-ish, but makes up for that, by the gameplay.

Could you tell me where you got the Mac demo? Very interested in giving it a try.
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

Wow, that actually looks like a real tennis match. The balls aren't travelling at 170 mph and people aren't painting the lines on every shot....just regular, realistic rallies.
