Because it would have been too hardcore for the beginners ; maybe later, they will put the most important tournaments in Elite mode

By the way, why did you choose the "simulation" control instead of the "elite" ones ?

It was merely because the tour was young with a tiny player base, and we didn't wanted to put off
the beginners by those times. It's being said that we'll probably switch bigger tournaments in elite control mode when the tour will grow enough and the average skill level among the tour improves wich is actually happening.

As we're reaching the off-season we may probably run some test tournaments in elite, i think
the average level is more than enough now to go for it. Elite is not that much more difficult, but makes the
game a bit more tactical and less accel-all-the-way type of game, a bit more ue's and also some more weird
unperfect shots, bringing overall more variety to the rallys.

In my opinion there's a significant difference between simulation and elite controls. The latter is definetely much more sensitive to bad positioning and aiming
Looking forward to it :) if it's just too difficult, maybe you could add the "service+rally preview"

It's just a mark that shows you where the ball lands :) combined with elite controls, it will not be arcade at all
Just a suggestion...I'm fine also without it

With previews on, the game will merely become a stand and hit type tennis game IMO. The way it is now, you have to adjust in the middle of your preparation at times (like you would need to do in real life), not to mention you would know let cords are coming before they even cross the net.

I for one am fully with the use of Elite controls. Not only will it work well with what ITST is all about, which is the create a tennis SIM environment, it will work well towards eliminating the "cheesy" tactics so many people like to talk about. (Not that I consider the use of drop shots or lobs to be cheesy, a spammer of either of these shots can easily be defeated if you keep your mind clear, and do not get frustrated)
