Volley problem

Postby Rusty96 » Wed, 25 Mar 2015 16:17

I have the problem that I don't really understand how to hit good volleys. I often miss very easy volleys which normally have to be winners but many opponents are almost impossible to pass and get in every volley. Do you have an advice for me?

I suggest to sign up for some doubles tournaments. That's the best way to learn how to volley.

Each situation requires the right choice of shot. Maybe even using a different camera can help.

I would suggest online. Timing varies on volleys a lot.

Also, pick a true SV player, be content to lose some major ELO and play a good 100 matches. Try to discover what works and what doesn't. It will cost you some loses and frustration but this is a sure way to learn. Once you get good with SV switch to a different player that have Good volley skills, repeat the process. Then go back to the player of your choice.

Yeah it's a good idea to play a lot of matches as a SV I guess. You can also play warm up against the AI and remains at the net, but it's really different online in terms of timing...
