Bug: slice animation despite hitting short accel

Postby inseedious » Thu, 05 Jun 2014 22:02

Here's the link of my post on the bug section on managames forum---> http://www.managames.com/Forum/topic5-18142.php
All details are there.

It would really help if anyone with the same problem can report his situation, so we can better investigate on more details. Even if you don't have this problem, feel free to post if you have any helpful opinion/idea.

It's really annoying, because, on the one hand, my opponent can always complain about some points changed by this problem (and he would be right, even though it happens when I deeply charge my short accell, so when I'm controlling the point). And, on the other, I'm not motivated by winning a point because of this bug, so my level in the following rallies can go down. In addition, if my opponent somehow returns that bugged shot, I'm no more motivated to win the point just thanks to that shot, so I usually let him attack, and eventually lose the point. A part from these points of view, it can however disturb a lot. I hope I'll find a way to solve this.

I don't know how to reproduce it obviously. And I don't have a video of it happening.
I guess you're talking about accelerated slice.
I just want to say it happens both offline and online but since there is no delay offline it's really hard to trigger it.

The way it happens to me is: I charge my acceleration with 2 buttons. S for slice and D for normal shot. When I press them both at the same time I get accelerated shot.
There are 2 ways it happened to me:
1. I'm playing a normal rally and I start charging acceleration shot, but then I "see" that I can't reach the ball and if I hit it'll dump the ball to the net. So I'd change my decision and only press slice button. But accelerated shot was already charged, so it just hits that but I see slice animation.
2. If I'm playing fast paced rally sometimes it gets really fast and my fingers can't keep up with the pressure and I have barely a second to charge my shots. I panic and somehow trigger it.

The only problem with accel slice is that it can give crazy angles with minimum charging time.

No, it happens with short accel, so I think it's not related to a b1+b2 pushing

I always have it too, it's extremely boring and didn't happen with previous versions. It happens mainly when you hit a short accel and press "left" or "right" just after... because you just release too early and mooving in the same time, it's something like that.

Yeah, but it's really weird because there's not such a comination "short accel+ right = backspin", and the backspin i obtain if it happens offline, is not a last moment backspin, but always lands in the mid court.

I have this issue at least 3 or 4 times a set and also on Short Normal shots, not only on short accel.
The problem here is then about "short" shots.
