Tennis Elbow Specator Mode

Postby o Sinna o » Tue, 28 Aug 2012 20:55

This would be the cream of the Cake for this Game.

You know I am well informed about many well known Esportstitles, as Star Craft 2, the Counter Strike Series, or Battlefield 3 or League of Legends, and they all have one important aspect, which is very important for electronic sports, a Specatormode.

You know Videogametennis especially on PC, with such a convincing mechanic as Tennis Elbow, has everything in the bag to get big. A good Videotennisgame would have it in generall. But esports also lives because of Fans and freaky people, Nerds or whatever, which like to watch the Guys, which play a Game on the highest professional Level, as many of you Guys already do in a Game like Tennis Elbow.

A Specatormode is very important to attract Customers, Leagues or even Sponsors in general. Because if nobody can see how great you play, your name has not a big worth from a esports-point.

So if it would be possible, and if managames has Futureplans with Tennis Elbow, and if a few Guys of you have a Contact to them, please let them know how important a Specatormode is for such a Game.

Imagine this Game, with a halfway up to date Engine (not because it's important for me, but rather to attract others customers), a Mode build in the original Game that's comparable with the ITST Mode, a solid Netcode and a Specator Possibility. This would be a Success for sure.

You know I will play the Game with you Guys anyway and do my best to get trained the best possible way in the next weeks, but such a Game has Potential that shouldn't get wasted.

I have a lil bit knowledge of esports, played a Game like CS Source in the electronic Sports League and followed a few other Titles which are big in this League. A Specatormode is always a Winner for a Multiplayergame with Potential. Not to say it's absolutely neccessary if the Developers want to take their Chance to get big, and if it's not only the Goal that a few Cracks like us, in the small ITST Club, playing the Game on a high Level.

Especially those Indie Games are it, what the Scene besides those topselling Casual Games need these Days, if we talk about esports.

Just wanted to let you know that. I mean the most of you already knew that, but I bet you have a Opinion to that Topic.

I suggested it recently on some suggestion thread @ official Managames forum, a real time spectating mode would be a nice feature indeed :)

In the meantime we have the replay feature wich is still pretty handy to watchs played matches, but that is only if players record their matches and post the replays (you can find several ones in the TE Media forum section along with some sticky explaining how recording/watching those replays works).

Damn there is a Replay function?

That's a great News. Is it easy to record a Replay or is it done automaticly with every Onlinematch you play?

But good to see you would like to have a Specmode also. I mean why anybody of us shouldn't? ^^

Would have only Benefits.

EDIT:

ähm ok you told it. XD
