Position of scoreboard

Postby p.napalm » Tue, 28 Aug 2012 17:11

I have a question about location of scoreboard. I'm talking about this small one in upper left corner. Is there any option (or patch) to move it more lefty? Usually a player on the top is straight under scoreboard. It's really inconvenient, especially during my serve, because I cannot guess the direction of return. Moreover when my opponent serve, he throws ball straight "in" the scoreboard. Is it just my problem, or someone has the same point of view?

I had the same problem, but during the match with SlicerITST I changed my resolution and now there is no problem. :)

P.S. I'm playing in Windowed mode. :)

You can either change your resolution or else modify the position of the hud.

1) First step you should download Qped with this link
http://www.managames.com/download.php?QPed.zip

2) Then go to your TE folder and Data. Find out the Pak03 file and open it with Qped

3) Once you open the file you will find a list of files. Look for all_hud.def. Export it somewhere, on your desktop for an example

4) Done ? Ok know right click on this exported file and select modify. Now you should find this part of the code

Code: Select all
//=== Light scoreboard

// Position for light scoreboard (Right&Up corner)
def   LightScoreX   180
def   LightScoreY   15

If you want to put your scoreboard left you should modify the x position. Try there different value in order to find out the position wanted. You can try for a first try -60

Your code should be now like that

Code: Select all
//=== Light scoreboard

// Position for light scoreboard (Right&Up corner)
def   LightScoreX   -60
def   LightScoreY   15

Done ? So save it and go back to your desktop

5) Now return in Qped and erase the all_hud file with the black cross in the top menu. Now select your all_hud.def modify on your desktop and drag it in qped.

Note: I tried to simply drag in order to replace the file but didn't work for me. Thats why i delete it before importing the new hud modify.

6) Now that you are done the final and hardest part... Simply exit Qped saving your modification. Go back to TE and see if it is ok for you. If it isn't the case well modify again the X value and overwrite the file.

Hope it could help you. See ya soon

Yep thanks for explaining Fox, though not sure we want that people around qped-ing the patch too much (this may lead to some issues if they mod some other things :wink: )

Inseedious and someone else already mentionned they sometimes can't see well the ball toss, overlapped by the scoreboard on some courts. It's mainly because i fixed the scorebaord to a position wich fits 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions. But this issue may happen with 16:9 resolutions. So i guess i'll maybe release som 16:9 specific version for the patch next time.

I don't know if instead manutoo can set the position with percent. Like that whatever the screen resolution, the position will be define with it. I think it could be possible normally its a basic use.

If not releasing two patch for resolution would be the best solution.

And by the way there is nothing else to change to the patch :P

Thanks Fox. I did everything as you described and it works. Now scoreboard is in normal place.
Elias, don't worry. This kind of "mixing in the belly" of the game is a black magic for me. I did it only once. ;)
