Great work!!Elias fix up the scoreboard as it was in sam patch was fine and manage to actualize the clothes of the players at Roland Garros 2012.
However online I have not tried to see if it goes well
To play a game there are.

Good news :!:

It seems we are finally desync free. after several tests with Vmoe (8 char tested, 4 match ups => 0 desyncs).

So, i will create another version tonight / tomorrow, a bit more solid, including more things in the pak03 file. Also fixing scoreboard display spot to be compatible with 4:3 and 16:10 ratios.

Then we'll probably delete the "What you need to start" thread and create another one with new instructions.

Elias,
Sam didn't create a Pak, probably coz I didn't write the explanations to do it in the HowToMod at that time.

Sounds fair enough, i understand :) From start i used his mod design as an example to explore modding, still reading MG forum but as i was a bit in a hurry this misleaded me a bit :) learning the hard way :)

Build 88, June 6th:

Changes :
- Gameplay : a bit more penalties when hitting a short slice not well centered in the racket
- Gameplay : short strike is a bit more short, especially with high topspin skill, and a bit less fast when having both high power & high topspin skill

Bug Fixes :
- .Dmo : matches with tiredness on were desynch'ing as soon as the players were getting too tired
- Gameplay : racket could go through the ball without touching it if the ball had already slightly passed our played
- Gameplay : your player shouldn't run instead of sidestepping too easily on return anymore
- AI : fixed a bug that was making the CPU to stop to run for no reason ; could create also possibly lead to desync when playing online doubles or replaying .dmo

Note :
- Hopefully, it will be the last Build for a while...

Build 89, June 13th:


Changes :
- Gameplay : forward inertia tuned : it's almost halved after serve ; after normal strikes, it's greatly reduced ; after accelerations, it's significantly reduced, except for fast accelerations on very slow incoming balls where it's very slightly reduced
- Gameplay : ball can now be hit a bit in the back, but it's then more difficult (ie: loss of precision or even fault)
- Animation : Atlernate Volleys & Smash binded to FH #3 instead of #2
- Physics : grass court speed tuned ; it is now very close of the indoor carpet, except it's still a bit more fast surface, which makes it very close of the current Wimbledon courts

Bug Fixes :
- AI : CPUs were getting too close of net in volley vs volley fights
- AI : in doubles, CPU could run to his partner side on some occasions
- Animation : run animation could be triggered in weird situations
- Gameplay : Nadal strike length fixed when there's not much topspin in it
- World Tour : when starting a season with a female player, her FH, BH & Serve powers were too low (you'll have to start a new season to enjoy this fix, it won't apply to seasons in progress)
- Online : tentative to fix the "Reject this player" function, not sure if it'll be better or not

Can this restart TE to 1 week ago when it was too simulative and solve our problems?
Could give any problem as Desync?

About desyncs i don't think so, we still have to test it.

About inertia there is some slight changes, but no it's definitely not the same as before, we'll probably have to do some power balancing tweaks anyway (wich we were already looking forward before the movement changes), but this needs some testing in the next days with the last build.

Amazing new volley anims.Great job manutoo (I guess he is the one to give credit).Before the volleys didn't look very realistic, now there is a major improvement!

If you installed the patch for the latest Build (ie #89), re-download & re-install it now, else you'll have desynch if you or your opponent have selected the Forehand #2 and then volley or smash.
You have nothing to do if you installed the demo, though.

That may be why eliomelma got desync against a new player but not against Elias (as reported in another topic).

thanks, but if you mean about the volleys tied to Forehand #3, then it's Lucian who made them. I actually don't like them much, they look a bit strange, and mainly I feel it's hard to center my volley when I use them. But if you like them, it's good anyway, that's why there is choice in the game..! :)

Well, centering them is more difficult,that's true.Plus the new volley strokes are too long (big arm movement) and in reality such a volley would always go out, but I think the anims are in the right direction.
I always felt the original volley anims are too stiff and mechanical.For me a shorter,more delicate version of Lucian's anims would be perfect.
