WHY TENNIS GODS, WHY?

Playing against the AI is not the real deal. In the original GST on Wii I also thought that it is impossible to hit unforced errors and that net game is overpowered, but latter was just a matter of mastering the game (hitting drop volleys at the net was way too easy, though, but volleying well required lots of skill - against the best baseliners in GST I could reach tie breaks when I played S&V as Sampras, but never won) and the former changed when playing against real opponents in the online mode. In a match between two top players at GST there can be around 20 unforced errors for each player (four 6-game sets played).

However, in the original GST it was also nearly impossible to hit a flat shot behind the baseline, no matter how hard I hit that shot. In the online mode lag helped some of these shots getting behind the baseline.

Regarding the demo: Apparently Microsoft released the demo early and that's why it was removed. It'll be up again some day in January according to this site: CLICK

Are you guys that desperate for a good tennis games that you´re actually thinking this will be anything more than a fun arcade game?

Dont kind yourselfes, its got good ideias but the implementation of those ideias and the game mechanics look god-awfull, dont get me wrong like everyone else i like some dumb fun every once in a while( the only reason i bought mw3 ) but this game lacks a lot of polish especially in the animations of serve and strokes, with the power of the ps3/xbox and the money they have you would think that EA could make a tennis game who played better than wii tennis.

The game mechanics look God-awful.
But there is still time to change that.
What would you know of the implementation? Have you actually played the game?

Lol DRII totally agreed nothing could be worse than TS4, its a dreadful game , ping pong basically, and computer suddenly stops u from making human decisions i.e hitting a ball that is going out ( but hey some of us do :) ) , i hate the way it suddenly stops u from hitting a shot u WANT to **** hit!!!! lol but hey lets hope the new game is good :D

Grand Slam Tennis (for the Wii) was head and shoulders above ALLLLL vid games when it came to capturing the true ambience of tennis(!) Seems to be as good for the Xbox/PS3 versions. Not sure, for most gamers, if that alone is worth a fork-down of $60, but it is for me. :P <-- SUCKA!

looks rubbish

It's not realistic, 99% of the shots go inside, it's almost impossible to fail a shot. Virtua Tennis 3 is at least a fantastic arcade game, i don't know what GST2 is, as a simulator its a joke, as an arcade its incredibly boring.

Total Racquet Control:

Looks not bad. But I am still more excited to see/feel Move control. If it work even better then the wii+ and the gameplay is equally balanced as GST1, I could live with the fact that some pros only hit one-handed backhands :P

Looks nice.
One inherent problem is that since the topspin and slice shots use the same preparation (pulling down on the right stick), the animation for the preparation of both topspins and slices must be the same.
I already noticed this before I knew how they worked - the preparations for the shots look incredibly weird because it has to work for both topspin and slice.

Btw, I bet the move controls are not good, but also interested to see how they do it.

like the idea, although the slice shot doesn't look like the typical slice shot to me
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
