**** decides lag cheating works best

Postby JayFro » Tue, 28 Feb 2012 20:11

I decided to play a couple of matches last night as I really haven't played the game that match (26 online matches now). And I get matched up with **** with his fully maxed out player +10 in each attribute category. I start slow and have to feel his game out a bit but then come back and am up 3-2 serving for the first set. This is where the cheating starts and continues for about 2 minutes. This is on Xbox 360.

At around the 6:20 mark of the video you can see he clearly starts to lag cheat to win points against me. It completely threw me off in the tie break after he did this and I go on to lose the first set that I should have won. I win the second in a tie break, and he guesses right often enough and beats me soundly 3-0 in the third.

Here is the cheating, I'm going to submit the link to EA. People need to know if they get matched up with this person and it's tight that they will probably resort to cheating to win.

I watched most of the vid, and the lagging stuff only happened in one place that I could see. If it was an exploit, why not use it to avoid losing the 2nd set?

It did look really fishy though, but not sure how you would achieve it.

Mainly, s/he won though by being better than you at exploiting the piece of crap game that GST2 is. If I hear the term 'volley winner' again, I might stab out my ears.

Well.....awful suspect at 3-2 I'm up and serving for the set after rolling off a series of games, and it doesn't happen at any other point in the match.

Only one of us was exploiting the game, but I agree that I'm sick of all these net rushers, it seems like it's the only opponent I get online. I don't think unfortunately that EA will be releasing a patch but hopefully they will surprise me ;)

I was outplayed (out guessed) in the 3rd, I should have mixed up my tactics a bit more, but hopefully I won't be playing this fool ever again.

It doesn't matter if the other player is, or isn't, a member here, or even if it's true, or not true - we don't allow defaming of others on our forums.

Notifying EA, as you said, is the best option.

Actually, that's probably the best option.
