It was.. ok.

I kinda like the serving. It's a little tricky, but I got used to it. It was still a little difficult to get the timing right, so I suppose that is a good thing.

Graphics looked crisp, though the animations are dodgy(I was hitting double handed slices and hitting slice shots with top spin animations...). The sound was decent, though I somehow manage to not pay attention to the commentary much.

Players are miles too fast. And I think shots are a little slow(until you play a shot from the net...).

Also, I like that there is an option to put a tie break on in the final set. I was playing a match there, and I quit(I was a little bored) at 9-9 against Nadal.

Like many of you I have played the heck out of the demo, the animation for slice and of course Djokovic and Nadal hitting one handed topspin backhands are terrible, but regardless I will pick this up to see how it handles against human players online. Who knows, the 4 player doubles online could be a blast. I put up some vids from the demo on Superstar if anyone wants to check them out.

I'm disappointed with this demo.
Serving is way too easy. You can easily have all first serves in with good pace and placement.
There are almost no unforced errors, and if there is one you can't really tell why it comes at that particular moment.
There is not enough difference in the type of shots.
How do you hit a winner from the back of the court? Nor the cpu, nor myself seem to be able to hit one. All points end at the net.
And the slice and backhand animations... I may assume they will fix that in the original game.

Played yesterday on "Superstar" and a lot more balls were flying long and wide (when I held the buttons a bit too long). Not sure how this will translate (real players/retail version) but it does give one hope.

Totally agree. EA Sports are Noobs in this matter.

I would wish they came around with a mindblasting Game.

But this seems more to be a nice Try.

But! A Rival is good for Business sometimes and the Game is not out yet.

So we'll see.

If you want more winners/ue's play inside the baseline, so you are taking that ball earlier. Not realistic playing in no man's land though lol

I bet this will be the No.1 complaining here, "T-Camping". Ahh, maybe not, hehe... At least we dont have to ban coaches...

Still a bit disapointed that the motion controls dont work like I wished them to work. But I got used to a hybrid arcade/TRC control and I like the demo much more now. Cant wait to play against humans.(wrongfooting, mindgames... Btw, a volley-lob is no longer possible, is it?)

I love the serve and return game. Would be nice if Roddicks serve hud at full power looks like a dirac delta function ;)
