I think we all already agreed some of us (me included) went too far here and there, so maybe you can give it its luck one more time...
But first discussion too much off topic, or in french : Lock it and create a new one...

As you can see, we didn't get involved at all....until more then a few (yes, more then a few different members) complained about this thread.

It is important to understand, that ITST caters to 12 year old as well as 50 year old. They all have their own views on how things should be conducted.

I have absolutely no problem with jokes, but I think to joke about a person behind his back is not cool in any part of the world. Especially if that person is 12 year old kid. It just not cool. Instead of helping him out, maybe sending a nice PM explaining few things..... too much effort I guess. :lol:

Anyway, I have a great deal of respect for Matheja, Puttu and J0KER (where is ZIZ!?!). I totally trust their judgment on this one. We have been through a lot with this guys. Especially Puttu :wink:

I think the transformation was the biggest there, we had some really heated arguments - but I can honestly say now that he is a great guy! :oops:

Sure there is an aspect of social networking in ITST, but it is an international aspect, this is an international site. And as the language of choice in ITST is English, I recon that it is much more productive to post in English when "joking" around and "networking" with other people.

Making jokes (which I certainly don't believe they are jokes) in your own language, about people on the site that don't understand that language - not cool. To say the least. Dismissing it as "French humor" when confronted - really?

I am going to be "the bad guy", the "French hater" once again here. (funny, considering I have plenty of French friends, on and off line). But I guess it comes with a territory. Next week I will suspend a Spanish guy - I'll be the hater of them too. God help me if I suspend an American.....oh wait, I already did that.

So should I just create a new Davis cup thread and we can forget about everything and move on?

I think it's the right time to lock the topic. About the fact that you'll be called french hater, I don't think that anyone thinks a such thing. You are doing what you consider fair and you don't take into account the country...

About the french humour, it was sarcastic... But nevermind. My english is too bad for trying to make people laugh so I will try to remain the tuctuc29, the defender of privacy

I totally agree with djarvik, a new thread should be created because things went too far here. I am really sorry for all that have been said on this one, even if I don't feel like if I had bad spoken about someone, but I can honestly understand why French are considered as the worst people in the world :cry:

I think we should just forget this because, after all, we are all respectable people (I guess

) and it's a bad idea to let this thread ruin this wonderful site ambiance.
