Hello!

Today I had a match when I was unsure of what to do regarding the actions of my opponent! On two situations.

Well, I have been playing with Drew Welch. Won some matches, but then my opponents complained they had no fun because I was using Welch etc etc... I am here not to win, but to earn the respect of my opponents, so I have decided to change to Slavina. I decided also that if my opponent uses Welch, I use Welch as well (and those matches are really boring :s my opponents were right!)

First situation: My opponent invites me, I choose Slavina. Then I see he has Welch, so I tell him to "hold on, I'm changing to Welch since you are using one" and he tells me that I can't change my player because I already saw his, that I would be cheating. Is this true? So, this is point number one..

We proceeded to the match, Slavina vs Welch. I won the first set to my opponent 6-4. Then he stops and messages me "It is impossible, you can't do those short angles with 75 backhand (Slavina 0-3-17; 3-1), you must be used a glitched player. Let's restart." So, this is point number two. I decided to restart the match, like the opponent wanted, with me inviting.

What would be my correct course of action in each of the cases?

Thank you

I´ve been a Welch user since the begining of the tour. I think Welch isn't so overpowered, but people is right. Its too easy to master, and very boring to play against him. A match between 2 good welch can be a nightmare. Only cross court angles all the match. I created a 0-15-5 Neuwirth and i have much more fun playing with him

Anyway, about your questions:

1) You can't change your player when you see your opponent's player. So if you pick Slavina, and join with her to the lobby, you MUST play with Slavina.

2) Second question is more problematic. The Rule is "finish the match and if you consider that your opponent have played cheesy or using a glichted player, report it to the host". So you can continue the match if you want. But if your opponent ask you if you use a glitched player, and you havent got any problem, you can quit the match and restart it. In this point you can do what you prefer: restart the match from zero, from 6-4 or not restart. If i were you i would have restarted the match from 6-4 . It isnt fair wait until you lose the set and then complain

Ok! Thanks

Regarding the first problem, could I agree with my opponents beforehand (when scheduling the match) the following: If you go Welch, I go Welch, if you don't, I go Slavina?

Hmm. Strange. So I'm not the only 1 that thinks you use a Glitched player.

When SIM tour existed (and after the update) i have seen people (elgogrin, poumadoro or murlmertier for ex) who hit imposible and crazy angles with 57 FH or 62 BH, and i always have thought that they were fair players. Sometimes I can hit crazy angles with 70 BH Neuwirth.

It's all about timing and hit the ball in the right moment, and in the right position. You can hit the ball with perfect timing in diferent moments (not only in one moment). So your perfect timing could be diferent from my perfect timing. I don't know if you understand me, its difficult for me to explain that in english.

But yes, Its also possible that your opponent is cheating

you can't quit to change your player after seeing your opponent's, that in my book is pretty cheap, we don't have that as a rule because we can't list all the wrong things people do here, but definitely..not fair.

Hello!

I don't know what I can say to you (both).. Of course I wasn't using a glitched player. Well, against Tam I was using Drew Welch, so I can understand better his frustrations

Do realize that the timing of the shot and the attributes of the player are not the only determinants for the quality of a shot. What makes the difference is knowing what is the best shot to use in different situations. Some balls come, I look at them, and know beforehand that this will be a good short cross court, this will be a good deep top spin etc etc

Besides, 75 is not that weak value for an attribute. Shame on me if I couldn't do winners with 75 wing.

Ok, got it :) But what about:

before starting the match you guys can agree on which players you'll be using, no problem.
