As some of you will know, I've recently returned to Ireland. As only Likos will know, I'm returning to work starting tomorrow.
I really enjoy TS4 and love the competition I get here. I feel like I'm only getting better with this game and would have looked forward to locking horns with the rest of the top guys on here on a regular basis. But unfortunately I have to prioritise my life. I'm going to be working 6 days a week from now on to save up as much as I can for my PHD next year.
I won't have nearly as much time to play ITST matches anymore and my job hours are evening times, when everyone else is free to play. Giving the tournaments lots of no match results would not be good for them and unfair on my opponents. I'm sure many of my opponents would not be too keen on waking up early just to play a match and it's not really something I want to be doing regularly either.
On top of that, I would no longer be able to invest any time in other great games. That's not something I want to give up on.
I'm not sure to what extent my retirement would be, I'll have to see how things go with time. It might mean fewer tournaments for me or it might be complete withdrawal from the tour. One thing is certain, I will no longer be able to cope with the matchload that I have now.
Even if I don't play another match, I'll probably keep an eye out on the boards here and may be semi-active. Guess I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I'll let you all know what my decisions are going to be when I know them myself.
