**Early in the first set I got a break to lead 3-1. Then serving at 4-2 Sven broke back. In the Tie-Break I got a minibreak to lead 6-4, but again Sven played smart and I played silly shots (horrible drop shots at that...) and he took the first set 9-7.
In the second set, I didn't come to net at all. I definitely came down with Venus Williams' Net syndrome. I got passed like twice and then decided well, no more net play. I hit a couple volley winners in the second but it was just tough to get my gal to move up there and be able to hit an offensive volley.
Sven played good though, and this was my first match against a human in like 2 weeks. Given that aspect (and not having my #1 choice as a coach) I commend him on the win.
That topspin invasion is tough!!!! Sheesh he kept hitting those darned topspin backhands and the monster defense skill makes it even tougher to find openings.
My player's stats were as follows: FH-66/BH-66/S-69/V-65/P-70/ST-71/SP-66/RF-67 I'm switching to a coach that will give her more control on her shots.
Congrats though Sven on a good win. The match was very entertaining to play (aside from my choking
) but I hope to play him again very soon.
