Latest rumour is that it will be fully operational on the 31st May. Some parts might be up sooner though.

Too bad the single player of Top Spin 4 is so boring.
Wouldn't want to be in the hackers skin when they get caught..
They caused damage in millions not only for Sony, but for many other companies as well. And Sony has a reputation for being really nasty when it comes to legal actions. I'd think twice before attempting to try that again if I were them...

To be fair, Going in once, nicking stuff/causing mayhem (whatever turns you on), and leaving being relatively untraceable just so you can gloat and laugh is one thing. Being retarded enough to warn you will do it again and again is just stupid as hell, you will be caught. I just dont see the point of it, i think they must just be trying to bankrupt SCE. They are just terrorists in my eyes. Sure sony is a "big evil company" but so is every company if thats the case. And all they did was flex some muscle against some nerd who bragged about messing around with things he shouldnt have been.

I saw a brilliant post on another forum that said, why dont these hackers really help people out and hack OPEC and lower oil prices? haha. But seriously its just pathetic.

Yeah same here. I mean I'm going through Fallout 3 now and enjoying it but I would like to be able to play online on TS4 too.

I think the May 31st thing is just rumours. Apparently 'insider information' or something like that. Saw one website running that story yesterday and now they all are. The last time they had 'insider information' the guy working in Sony said 'definitely in two days' and look where that went. There's been nothing official yet though that means Sony don't have a clue when it'll be ready either so probably a week at the earliest. May well run on to the end of May anyway at this rate.

Trust me, all these hackers really need is to GET LAID.

Once that finally happens for them they'll realize playing with computers with other nerdy boys isn't actually the ultimate experience in life.

Have you played Heavy Rain? Great game. Although some people have argued its more a 'interactive film'. But i loved it. Each time you play through you get different endings and scenarios, and i can't remember what i picked last time so its all fun again. Just started God of War 3 again too. Aside from that i've just been playing Gran Turismo 5, top spin 4 career mode, and trying to get 100% on red dead redemption!

True, i reckon the average ages of a hacker must be 18-40 and virginity % levels well in the 90's. I just can't see how doing it is fun, like hacking like this, its like virtually smashing stuff to pieces, but we all know its more fun doing it in real life with a sledgehammer.
I suppose thats why games are so popular, they are fun and entertaining but we would all rather be serving for the match at 5-4 in the 5th against federer at wimbledon at real life. But as we can't, its the next best thing! And because most of these hackers are probably socially inept loners, who are probably relatively intelligent, its their way of controlling part of the world. Like behind the screen they are god.

You see ones saying like "oh im a hacker and i have this supermodel girlfriend and crap loads of dollar" but they just don't. Some for sure probably are quite normal, but i'm pretty sure most are the sterotypical nerd. I know its not that PC but i'm a bit of a believer in stereotypes, they have to come from somewhere, and i think most hackers fit the bill of theirs quite well.
