Argh these hackers are just lame as hell. All this thing with that hotz guy as well, of course he was gonna get arrested, the kid was f***ing around with things he shouldn't have been. Its bad when one of the foremost technology companies in the world is broken by people like this. What next a Die Hard 4 scenario?

They Certainly are. I don't understand why this hotz guy has been held up as some kind of hero. Now other hackers taking revenge on Sony. Why? Because Sony had the audacity to protect their product.

These hacking geeks need to live in the real world for a while.

Didn't take the Americans very long didn't. They are so litigious.

I understand what he says to a point, but suing Sony. It's a bit far isn't ?

Exactly why this probably won't ever amount to anything more than an inconvenience to Sony.

Just some guy upset about having a week of gaming taking away from him. If his card details get stolen then he has a fair reason to be pissed.

Come on Hoff...

Sony deserves to feel some pain over this! Especially after having the audacity to purposely infect computers with their cds not too long ago and being very litigious themselves when it comes to protecting what they consider to be their intellectual property!

Maybe the new Nintendo system will be worth a look, or perhaps a 3DS; I still will definitely not get a 360...

I for one am disappointed. Especially after constantly defending Sony and the PS3 against attacks from Xboxers! Although Xbox live had a week long outage a couple of years ago (I think).

I'm taking back my 320 gb PS3 with move, I still have the original 60 gb that I was going to sell (it stopped reading discs after 5 years) but will now get it fixed for about 100...

Some pain yes. I'm sure they could have handled it a little better, namely given more updates, information and reassurances in the first week of the outage. But come on, you can hardly blame them for an external hack job. That's beyond their control.

They put some software on their CDs a few years back, to try and stop piracy, that caused problems for some Windows users...

The problem was that they secretly tried to sneak it into everyone's computers without warning them or asking for their consent. They purposely left it out of the EULA which is illegal.

Q: When will the PlayStation Network and Qriocity be back online?

A: Our employees have been working day and night to restore operations as quickly as possible, and we expect to have some services up and running within a week from yesterday. However, we want to be very clear that we will only restore operations when we are confident that the network is secure.

one week from today.....OMG.....maybe......i hope so........

Note they say 'some services' so no guarantee that PSN is one of those services...
