Agreed TS4 is very arcadey but i think once u see VT4 released youl see a huge influx to that , TS4 just doesnt have the Topspin feeling for me if u know what i mean lol , i do miss it, but hey everyone is different , and i think at the end of the day the company cant just stick to one gamers market ( in this case ITST) they have to be able to sell universally so i think thats what has happened here , i guess with TS3 there was just a good mix but lets not forget TS3 was starting to die a death also towards the end , it was difficult getting people to sign up for events and the amount of byes in tournaments was getting rediculous

I get bored with TS3 within a week and trade it out....

Anyway, TS4 is, in my opinion, a mix of TS, VT and if you know, the Smash Court Tennis Series (made by Konami). I won't say it's as arcadey as VT but it is a great change in style from TS3.

As a die-hard VT lover for sure I love the changes, but again I could understand why people hate it too, just imagine VT4 becoming a sim of real tennis....

the only things i hate is how foot work is a lot more trickier to read than in ts3 , and also repositioning your self is a bit difficult
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm :P

Really? I'm liking the movement much more. Feels smoother and allows me to be a wall 8)

I wish moving was completely manual, (well some assist when setting up shot) it may be harder but those move assist buttons grind my balls because people with low speed seem to be able to move soo quick.

yup... speed and reflexes have virtually no effect. Unless you compare a 40 speed to an 85 (which isn't that much of a difference aside from 2 or 3 extra balls reached for the 85 dude...)

Manual movement would be much better (a-la Dream Match or Full Ace)

Honestly I'm surprised by how little I want to play the game. risk is sorely missed. I can understand why they took it out and how risk can make the game very unrealistic when all the top online players use it like crazy but it makes the game much more exciting. TS4 gets very mindless after awhile and just barely one step above VT. The best parts of a real life tennis match is when someone makes a very tough shot or hits a winner from an impossible position or they just start going for low percentage winners and making them. Without that it's just endless rallies.
