Is there an English version?

Smh hackers are the worst. N why PSN? What r they trying to accomplish? N why doesn't PSN say something instead of keeping us in the dark?

P.s. is there an article in English abt this?

I wouldn't worry about that. There's no way it will be down for 6 months. Sony might as well just give away all their customers if that's going to happen. It's just something happened, probably some kind of security compromise with their network or store and they've taken the network down to upgrade security. It'll mostly likely be back up within the next week. It's just annoying for most people that it happened during Easter weekend.

Good news! At least if it is true. PSN could be up again by Tuesday.

Still DOWN :(

Because of the long down time, I want to ask again, what will happen with the tournaments in progress?

When PSN is up again, will there be a new time table for some tournaments? Or will it be something like you have 3 days to finish all your missing matches?

It will depend on how long it will take really. If it is back up in the next few days we can say play the matches in the next 3 or 4 days. If you only have 2 or 3 matches open then that should be possible.

If it takes longer and the matches start stacking up we will have to come up with a different approach.

Seeing as there is nothing known about a repair date i cant say much else then that all the tournaments are on hold for the moment.

And looks like rumours about it being back up tomorrow are false. Don't think it's going to be back up for awhile longer. Sony said today that they're shutting down the PSN indefinitely until the find a way to secure the network. So could be another week or two or three for all we know but doesn't sound like it will be resolved soon... the good news is that means we don't have to worry about rescheduling tournaments for awhile yet! :?

Hm, I don't think Sony can afford to keep it down that long. Think of the financial loss not only for them, but for the developers that provide DLC.
I bet many of them had some price drops planned during the easter weekend. Shouldn't take too long now, maybe end of the week. At least that would be my humble guess.

Kinda funny though, first my car engine broke down, then my stereo drops down onto my Sony Bravia (both trash now), then my mainboard collapsed while beeping like hell and now the PSN is down for ages. Wonder what's next, maybe a meteor strikes my house.

That is exactly why they should be commenting more on the situation, people have personal data tied up within their psn accounts, they should be getting some assurances that info has been protected.

Important update!

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/04/ ... ce-update/

Sony finally reveals the details we've all been waiting for. They can't guarantee that personal information (including certain credit card details) haven't been stolen so be careful with your accounts for the next couple of weeks. And they expect serviced to be back up within a week.

On twitter;

"a compromise of personal inormation as a result of an illegal intrusion on our systems"

"expect to restore some services within a week"

Looks like they think personal information such as name, email, address may have been picked up and they are not ruling out credit card details being picked up either.

I think its pretty poor they did not release this information sooner. Sure, the full extend is difficult to see at first but i am sure they knew that personal information could have been leaked a lot sooner then this.
