Mad catz controller problem

HI I have a mad catz controller which I used last time two years ago... Now just a day before I tried to use that again but it didn't work... It has a USB device with it on which a red light flashes.. And controller works with 2 batteries.. Now when I insert the batteries and plug the USB device in ps3 the red light on USB gets stable but the 4 red lights on the controller keeps on flashing and they don't get stable.. Soo the mad catz controller don't work now. Does anyone else have this problem??

Are u using the same PS3? The controller may in essence still be paired to a previous PS3. This has happened to me before with another 3rd party controller. If you google "madcatz controller paired to old PS3" or something like that - results should come up to show how to fix it.

yea i m using the same ps3 but a new hard disc because my old hard disc got corrupted
