Promoting PS3 Tour

The PlayStation 3 TS4 tour had a cracking start. For the first time on ITST the PS3 tour start was almost similar to the 360 tour start in sign up numbers. But then PSN got hacked and every tournament was paused for the time being.

Now that the PS3 tour is up and running again we need help from our community. We need to rekindle the TS4 spark that was in the PS3 community at the start of the tour. We will be spending a lot of our efforts in letting our members know the tour has started again but you are the closest link to the online community. So i dont care to whom you tell it, but spread the word. The PS3 tour is running again and here to stay for a long time to come!

Other ways to promote:

- One way to do it is to use intertopspintour.net in your gamer profiles and in your bio on Xbox 360 or PS3. When other players look up your profile they will see it and hopefully log on to our website and see what we have to offer.

- Another way that always works is sending a post match PM to your opponent, asking him to come join us in our tour. This is the most effective way, but I do understand some may not want this type of interaction.

Roland Garros could become our first 128 draw tournament on a PS3 tournament i think. We just need 7 more sign ups!

Im going to leave the tournament in sign up overnight and create the draw tomorrow. Please look in your friendslist and see if there is anyone who would could potentially sign up for this tournament and convince them.

I thought we were going to wait until some of the earlier tournaments are over before creating the draw so that seeds can be taken into account?

I'd also like to suggest that some of the guys who play the PS3 tour make up a female character to use -- try out a play style that's different from normal with her, and it gives you more tournaments to play. The women's French Open only has 30 sign-ups and the men's is almost full; there's no reason those guys shouldn't create a single woman to play in the women's tour.

I hate that the game only lets you create 4 players though; I don't understand it. Why limit people? I'm sure we'd have more people playing the women's tour if they had more freedom to make up multiple characters.

That's part of the reason I don't play in the women's tour. I used to have a women's character but I had to get rid of her so I could experiment with different setups for the male tour and also have more than one type to play with at any one time. Not really sure why it's limited to only 4 slots. Should have made it double that.

It was mentioned yes but there has not been much movement in the Monaco draw since then. So i think this time would be wasted time.

Well what happened to the 'we only have one day to play each round from the QFs so we can get a masters tournament out of the way before making the RG draw'? I mean, I get it would have been unfair on some players (honestly very few as most would have played and there aren't many by QF stage anyway) but it would have meant getting the tournament done and dusted with this weekend so we can have better seedings for RG.

It wouldn't be that great for RG if two title contenders were to meet in the first round as a result. Right now, Monte Carlo is at SF stage (bar one match which we could push to that stage). It should only take two days to get the tournament over with if you enforce that now. I mean, I don't even mind if I can't play my match tomorrow and I have to forfeit. I'd just prefer to have it out of the way so the seedings for RG are better. Just enforce it strictly for the next two days so you definitely know it's going to be over with?

Plus you just have 5 more slots to fill up to get the full field. It wouldn't hurt to wait a couple of days more if that's the case. It'd be nice to have a full field.

Okay, fair enough. Im just getting a bit anxious about it. If you guys would try and play the finals as soon as possible this would be well appreciated. I will move Blumenau 1 day forward so Monte Carlo can have a ranking update when it finishes.
