hi guys, can anybody help me ? i want to open my router ports to get better connection , i saw the video in youtube but i didnt understand anything , i cant find the primary and secondry DNS

i ll help you out because i hate it when i can't connect to players to play our matches.

First make your ps3 as a static ip. To do that, go to the video, step by step and you will find it exatcty

. if you dont understand some terms, just google them, google is your friend :lol:

Then you have to either put your modem/router into dmz or forward the ports needed for ts4. I suggest you put your ps3 on dmz.

To do that just put your ip address on the address bar of your explorer. Then find something like dmz or public ip address. Again google your modem/router with "brand of router open dmz" .

I did everything in that video except I wasnt able to find my router on portfoward.com.. Every other step is done but the last one about enabling Upnp isn't done.. So is my ps3 in dmz mode or not ?

what brand is your router? if you can't find it in portforward.com then it must be the worst router lol. Maybe you can call your internet provider and tell them to do it for you. Tell them whats your problem and they most probaply know what to do.

It's linksys.. And I know it's not worst lol... But I open portfoward.com and there is nothing..

Lol linksys is among the know brands. Its odd that you can't find it on portforward...Tell me your model and ill try and find it when i have time

DMZ is typically used as a "last resort" if port forwarding fails to produce results because it leaves you with security vulnerabilities.

Ok what if we don't put ps3 in dmz mode instead we open ports to topspin4.. How do we open ports for ts4

You probably just have to open the specific ports that change your NAT settings to Open. Look up port forwarding to open NAT for PS3 or something of that nature.

I had this **** NAT problems for 2 years.
