TOPSPIN 4 is a joke

Postby SkengDaddyRich » Sun, 26 Jun 2011 00:03

i really have had enough of this game now. im not normally one to have a moan. but im just getting sick and tired of this bulls**t. I just played a S&V guy. like 100 serve with 90+ volley of what ever. its a joke, he has 55 on forehand and backhand but is still hitting my bassline and tight angles from his bassline. all he has to do is get remotely close to the net and even if im hitting my shot at pace down the line all of a sudden - from standing in the middle - his racket suddenly flings itself in front of the ball - like its out of his control - and send me from side to side. im not like even a top 40 player so no one probably cares, but this game just isnt enjoyable anymore. i miss topspin - but this - it will be lucky if i dont take it back. any way i have vented my anger and no disrespect to C4ill, sorry man, but do you enjoy playing with this player???. anyways. im out...

I recommend taking a break from it and returning. It gets frustrating but that's just like real tennis. I mean how frustrating would it be to play a Federer, Nadal or Serena is real life? The thing I like about Top Spin 4 is that it's broadening the range of different playing styles. I liked TS3 but the majority of the players risked all the shots. Now we have baseliners, power hitters, serve and volleyers, all court players, the list goes on. I think once you find your specific game and get use to the different styles you'll do better. I find it helpful to play the pros on Expert level with all different games. I even use my female characters against Sampras and Roddick just to get use to a specific game. I had pretty good results so far.

Someone needs to get Dapery to post tips on playing against S&V - he was passing me at net consistently.

I am a total zero at this TS4, and i managed to break a good S&V player (C4ILL)... I lost 4-6, 4-6 but if I can break him, I assume it is possible to break those players... (EDIT : Or was it 4-6, 0-6??? Can't remember!  )

But it's true that for those who like S&V style it's a dream come true! S&V is a dominant set up! Pretty rare lately!... :D
For those who only like to win with few efforts, well, it looks like it is the #1 dominant set up...

I think the main problem is that we can't see low stats having effects... Even if you put low stats here or there, it will still be too efficient (comparing with those who boost a same stats)...

My opinion as a very crappy player!... :D

I'm done with the WT, due to lack of time i don't play a lot the game, maybe 1 or 2 hours per week, but minutes ago i realized that the WT is not for me, not even to warm up, today i played against a guy with TI/MD, 100 power, and hitting the glitch return, drop shots every time as well and of course with that wide slow serve every single time:lol:
I can't play the WT, not even a match, because i don't understand most of the guys playing there, really, i guess it's my fault. It's like when you go to some strange party, arrive there and think to yourself "what the **** i'm doing here, this is not for me" , well the same with the WT.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
