All,
I joined the ITST team a month ago with my remit being news writing specifically for all Challenger and Futures Tournaments on both the XBOX and PS3 tours.
As you may of seen from the news headlines homepage I have written and posted a handful of articles so far and now I am a bit more seasoned I wanted to share some thoughts and open the floor up to you all.
Firstly, the Challenger and Futures tour are an excellent addition to the site. More recently due to the level of interest in TS4 and subsequent high influx of new members these tours have come alive.
These tours are a great way for "newbies" to find their footing in ITST and get some valuable match practice under their belts. Furthermore, if you develop your talent you may set your sights higher on 250, 500, 1000 & the Grand Slams but nevertheless emphasis will never be removed from these equally important circuits! Which leads me to my point...
A key part of writing accurate news reports relies to a somewhat large degree on what you write in your "Match Report". I appreciate due to time commitments or depending on the match you may choose not to report however where possible your feedback would be most appreciated. The report does not need to be exhaustively long but ideas of what to include can be any of the following:
* Match stats (e.g. winners, break points etc)
* The style of your opponent (e.g great forehand, timing, resilience)
* Your style of play or tactics
* Positive feedback about your opponent or congratulations
* Negative feedback (which will be posted ay my discretion)
* Any other match feedback or analysis welcomed
Right, thats all from me. If any members have any feedback on the news writing so far, good or bad, or you have any suggestions of what you would like to see included please feel free to either post here or send me a private message (PM).
Thanks
Baghdad
