It was nice to have some long rallies with Norberto for once !

It's very early days but it still feels great to Norberto my opponent like that !
I used control shots to perfection pushing him to make errors. Nice match ! MUAHAHAHAH !

We both used customs. Rocket used a Serve & Volley player with about 90-95 on serve.
We each had about 5 break chances in the matches. I was the only one to convert.
I have to say, it's actually really fun playing against a serve & volleyer, not because of wins or losses, but because of the types of points.

We both used custom players - I know my 100 power character is going to get some stick but I think he was outplayed more than just plain overpowered. Norberto still serves 90% of the time out wide it was only a matter of time before I did something with it. It was still a lot of fun and very close all though in the tiebreaker it was pretty easy for me.
I knew within a few games that I had a shot in this match I don't think Norberto has that self believe at the moment he's got everything to prove just like everyone else. On another note I know this 100 power character is beatable BK showed me that the other night but I just had to try it against Norberto just to see. It's a warm tourney after all ; )
Also I beat sherlocks serve and volley character the other night 7-6 6-7 6-3 So it's not easy scorelines and in the matches espiecally againt sherlocks s&v player it was a good battle of styles.

Yes, it was fun, but honestly: you really think you outplayed me more than overpowered me? For sure MUCH more than 50% of your serving games were: serve, return, crushing winner... your shots, especially your forehand-shots (90+) were so fast, I couldn't even react sometimes eventhough I was there...
Of course, the best of the best might be able to beat such a set-up using a "normal" one themselves, but against the other 95% of the members here this is going to be a slaughter-festival - unless they are using this setup themselves. And I think if one of the best like Joker (he was using a 98 power+serve char in an exibition match against me once), is using such a char, then the fun is finally completely gone -for everyone, believe me...![]()
Everyone here knows that I love the power-game...forever.... but such setups are too much, even for me. IMO the highest "supportable"power-set up I played so far was the one Retos uses (of 15/def 5/ instant rocket/ crushing passing shot), he is damn good but still I could hit with him, in the end I lost 4-3 3-0, but it did not feel like I was only overpowered but outplayed - sorry Devilish, but against you I did not feel that way - just my opinion, of course I accept yours...

So what’s the difference with your wide serve then cross court for winner? It’s practically the same game play. The reason why I think your were out played is because its when i didn’t use the power shots that I won the important points, and in the end your wide serve got broken and broken again in the tiebreaker, you have to agree with that...
On this occasion a got the better of you but I dare say you will time and time again kick my ass...
Were you the best TS3 player? Maybe…Were you the best 90/40 TS3 player absolutely. I would think twice about any banning of stats just yet. i would hate to see a replica of the ts3 leadboard where the person with the best wide serve wins...

Devlish, I agree with you. I do have respect for Noberto as a competitor but I always said that he is only an outwide serve and amazing risker. With risk gone it is a different story.
I don't see the value or enjoyment from hitting outwide serves all the time and then following it up with a cross court - for me that is a desperate way to clinch a point and tons of people do it. Hitting serves down the tee are just a beneficial, especially in TS4.
