anybody know what to do vs this?

What do you mean "loopy" returns? I played a solid S&V guy yesterday who was ranked top 50 lifetime. Like 243-35 in quick matches lifetime.

He was using deep control topspins on my serve games and was pushing me back. I just kept short angles then would go deep pushing him back even more. I believe I beat him 3-1. He seemed off or something on his service games. I was expecting a much more brutal S&V

I didnt really know it was a glitch at the time, but the person was using the glitch return and then charging the net. I had no idea what to do

I played Aniltje yesterday, and I was feeling a bit hungry... So he nicely gave me a bagel!
Thx dude! :tu
Hey Anil', am I crazy or you don't play any ITST tourneys?... I'm pretty sure you could do well on tourneys, so I 'm wondering about that... You have practically every shot in hands, you have a nice "Tennis" spirit so...
And also why you keep inviting me? :P I have never ever been able to steal your serve, well, not even able to handle a single "rally"... So also about that I'm wondering! Haha! :D

Just played tuurbine in a wimby practice match, won 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (13-11) I used my serve and volley, he used a def baselier, so i was at a disadvantage right away.

First Set, got up an early break, but then, I feel tuurbine turned a little cheesy. He started lobbing his serve returns, and all that, so I lost the set, kind of frustrated.

2nd set, he continued to do the same thing, but I caught on, chipped and charged for a break, and won.

3rd set, he played clean the whole time, and it was really fun!! multiple breaks and all that, but I got one more due to a lucky netord.

By the 4 th set, it had the feeling of a true wimby final, and i was sooo excited, having lots of fun!! We both held serve, and went into a tiebreaker. Now, I was nervous, because my guy, a s and v, sucks in it...... but I got 2 mini breaks, lost 2. I thought it was kinda unfir, because he drop shotted my serve on the first one, and lobbed the 2nd. He got a mini break, I saved the set point with an ace, he mni broke agan, this time, I saved it with a perfect drop volley, right out of Feds book. Finnally, my chip and charge won me a match point, which he saved with a great passing shot. He return aced me on the 2nd matchpoint, me frustrated, but finally I had a match point, but on his serve. I luckily got him on the run, aprroached, drop volley, he ran, got to it, and i powered it away for a winner!! It was awesome!!!

After the match, while I was typing a gg message to him, he sent me one, saying gg, and that he wanted to go to the bathroom soo bad during the match. I dies of laughter!!!

Next time, though, I would appreciate it if you

1.stopped lobbing serve returns( kinda unrealistic, esp if its right on the baseline, or at least tone it down a little)

2. Do not drop shot the serve, thats realy unrealistic, especially of a perfect flat serve out wide.....

3. dont drop shot every time i come to net.

BUT gg anyway, I got a lot of confidence for wimby now, watch out!!

Stats:

me----------------------------------------------------Tuurbine

92% 1st serve % 90%
68% Win % on 1st serve 65%
43% Win % on 2nd serve 44%

Drop shot and lob returns should be easy winners for you if you S&V - just listen to the sound the racquet makes and you'll know when they're coming.

Just played a great exhibition match against Norberto H. Hes is one solid player, thats for sure. He swept me 7-6 7-6. I blew a few points in both tiebreaks. His serve and mine were going back and forth quite competitively. 1st set neither of us broke. He was 0-5 in breakpoints I believe. 2nd set he jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead breaking me twice. I climbed back though and broke for a second time when he was serving 5-4 for the match. He ending up beating me in the tiebreak 7-4 taking a commanding 6-1 lead. I made a couple silly mistakes rushing the net when it was uncessary.

Great match Noberto. You are a very solid player. I definitely see where all the hype comes from!

Hey, I've taken a break from this game, but feel like I got my confidence back and want to get some practice matches in w/ ITST guys. Just add me on XBL - GT: dsavbeast012.

I know a few guys like SportecIronik have played me, offensive baseliner but finish points at the net as well and mix in S&V. So hit me up! :)
