Comparing the glitch set up with the update

Tam one problem is that this can actually happen accidentally quite easily and no one would even know. Sometimes I tend to think it's been going on for a while since the updates and a lot of people that hate the new updates may have been in situations (intentionally or not) where they were matched up against people playing without those updates.

I play this morning with glitch player and i could entry in the WT, i affirm it's possible because i could do drop shot irreal and when i serve with DPAD the game freeze.

2K TECHNICALLY because the updates should have been released as actual updates. The way they created them is the reasoning for the fault.

Part of the plan is to reach out to 2K once we clearly identify the ways of playing without a patch, so they can plug the holes.

That's a great idea! That would alleviate any temporary workarounds we'd need. Hopefully they'll come up with something and want to being that the game has already been out a little while. Well if you need any help or input I'd be glad to provide.

OMG, Iluvbillval just showed me the glitch - 2 matches, same players, first one without glitch, great match, relatively close, he won 6-3...

2nd one he was using the glitch, after 3 games I won my first point, in the end lost 6-0 winning maybe 3 or 4 points...

Playing Fifa Tee in the past, we always had close matches, and when I played my WTF match against him I left after I lost the 1st set 6-0 winning only one single point... I thought "OMG, this guy improved", but I think now I know why I lost like this. What a shame...

When a new rule/patch from 2K/ITST fix this you guys will have to find another way to excuse your losses to Sh0case and Fifa.

Ugh. you hadnt played the game in a long time and you only played dark souls. i used my proper welch setup which i dont lose with, i beat you fairly as i played better than you in that match. the time before that i also beat you 6-0 6-1 in the bnp paribas with the same welch player. so yeah, please dont think i cheat to win, i win as i play the game well. Also we have only played 3 times on ts4, once was a fun match were i quit at 3-3 months and months ago, the others were the itst matches after i had improved and used my proper setup. 6-0 6-1 and 6-0 matches.

Anybody who i have beaten in the past, feel free to assume that it is because i am a cheater, and not that i am better than you at the game.. After what Tdbchess did to me yesterday with the cheating and drop shot abuse with a pre patched player and still lost to me while he was cheating. i dont expect any normal matches from anyone.

This is a big fault - Fifa and Shocase aside this is a massive problem and I hope it is a simple fix for the developers. It calls into question the most recent tournaments which can never been proved or disproved - I am retired so have no interest or personal gain in saying this.

I don't think anyone are necessarily isolating just fifa and Shocase however it is perhaps more apparent with them because they are very good players and look therefore almost god like. I personally think everyone deserves a fair say and who knows, perhaps the pair are that good and give credit where credit is due. However even though I was retired for so long I noticed considerable jump in class vs them, considerable, sometimes not even winning a game - then I would play other top players and do all pretty well.

Point is that like Norberto said, it's a shame, especially if it has been knowingly done to gain advantage and it's hard to argue otherwise, I can see that. For me it calls into question the rankings in general, because every match played is subsequently called into question (I don't feel I am exaggerating here) and I was going to return to the tour (billvall makes me want to play again and despite refusing I am thinking of having a bit of "fun" again as he put it). However I will rather wait for a fix on this issue before I come out of retirement...

I don't really know how you can prove someone is doing this but I did play a match recently where someone started from the dashboard and asked me to invite them, I thought it was odd at the time but after reading some of this alarm bells are ringing, but he also plays on world tour so I'm not sure whether that means he must have the most recent update.

I hope this can be fixed relatively soon so the tour can become fair for the rest of the season. It is quite worrying that many ITST matches and tournaments could have been won unfairly, it's like the virtual version of steroids!

I thought that whenever you updated a game these days, be it Xbox or whatever that they were basically compulsory and you couldnt play the game online at all until you had updated because everyone needs to be playing with the same code and game build, because the compatibility wouldnt allow you to do otherwise surely?

That's exactly what ILuvBillVal mentioned, it is 2K's fault that it is NOT done this way:

Don't know how 2K technically updates TS 4, but on other PlayStation 3 games it works differently, just like you explained.

You see the biggest disadvantage of bringing this issue on forums.. Everyone will start complaining whenever they lose that his/her opponent was prepatched.. And top players will be the victims of this accusation most of the times..

See your point mate but we can not turn a blind eye to this situation, this kinda brainstorming session is a good thing if we want to find a good solution for all of us, for ITST, this glitch really falsifies competition results, in my opinion this is serious stuff.
