I've just played a 3set match against I.Maturano for Australian Open and his attitude was really fairplay.

He showed me that he follows all the instructions to connect himself rightly and he wasn't cheesy at all in his game style according to the SIM rules.

If he had done something wrong before, I think he'll never do that again regardless his behaviour with me.
He's new here, he has maybe done an error before, but he looks very motivated for ITST anyway and seems to have the right spirit !

I can't say that about on3touch unfortunately :p

Confirm C4iLL impression, absolutely I.Maturano is really a good and fair guy. It's true what C4iLL said: he's very motivated to be a member with great spirit.
Is not the right person to accuse of cheesy, if he did it im sure is for error.

I also agree with C4ill and Painted Crystal. Maturano plays fair and it's always an enjoyable match to play against him.

He's not the sort of player to cheat...and he doesn't need to anyway. He's getting better all the time.

sooo, did we get 100% sure if logging into WT fixes the glitch and forces players to load the update if they launched the game in a glitchy way?

ok nevermind just read a bit and it seems not :x

ILuvBillVal wrote:This is an updated plan for players to connect glitch free for now. Instead of both connecting to the World Tour, do the following:

Both players start up Top Spin 4 and pause at the ball machine screen. Your opponent's status should read "Playing Some Balls." This will effectively bypass the point in which the player would have skipped over and entered into glitch. Also it won't involve going to World Tour where many players have stated the glitch can be continued. Once both players have reached this point either could send the invite, but the other player would have to completely back out again in order to try and achieve a glitch.

Important notes: You and your player must both start at the Dashboard before doing this. Neither you or your opponent should be hidden in your status. If either player goes offline and comes back online into the menus during this process they are effectively trying to glitch and need to start the process over.

This is the perfect solution I think !

That is precisely why you guys do not see a rule just yet. We are trying to find an absolute way of doing it, without a shadow of doubt. Any other rules wont help.

Can more of you confirm that Iluv's way works and that is it convenient enough?

i think that your player will still be a glitched one if you accept the invite from practice courts... in my opinion everyone should enter playstation network then wait for the invite in the screen where you have the option to "create custom match" or "quick match" etc.... this is because when you enter playstation network then ts4 again processees alll that " discovering downloadable content" etc also in my opinion the one who invtes can never be pre patched but the one accepting can be pre patched depending on that from where he accepts the invite

1) insert top spin 4 disk
2) wait for all those screens before practice courts
3) then enter world tour
4) come back and enter playstion network
5) go to the " create custom match screen"
6) then accept the invite

I confirm this one. As ILuvBillVal said: One has to completely back out to trigger the glitch and if the player setting up the match always keeps a look at what his opponent is doing he is safe.

Can you clarify back out all the way.

So as long as it does'nt say Top Spin 4 it's ok.

Is it ok if it says navigating through menus because you could easily leave practice court and enter navigating through menus and accept

Simple: Stay on the practice court until you receive the invite. Then accept it and from then on it is fine.

Back out completely could be: Leave TS 4, go offline, start TS 4 and go to navigation menu, connect to PSN and then go to the practice courts.

The good thing about waiting on the practice court is that the opponent cannot fool you by asking a "friend" to send him an invite which he accepts and immediately is taken to "Navigating through..." without ever going to the practice courts.

Basically these invites from the dashboard are making glitched players bypass the connection to the Top Spin server. When that initial connection happens the balancing update is downloaded. That is why once you get to the ball machine you should have passed a point in which you'd been updated.

There are a few things I have not completely sorted out. When a glitched player enters the World Tour I believe he is still glitched. I'm not sure how since it forces you to connect in the same manner, perhaps the update only occurs in the initial connection to TS4. I didn't "feel" glitched in the same manner as in a Player Match but Norberto (testing) froze on a button serve on the World Tour which I have never once seen happen and this ALWAYS happens when a player is glitched.

I have also not confirmed if a player hits "B" and backs out of all menus whether the connection to the Top Spin server will be lost or not. That is what I meant when a player "backs out."

The sad thing is the only REAL way I can see of ensuring this is to just run some time trials on starting the game and getting to the ball machine. And then some trials of one player leaving and starting a lobby, then the time from the invite sent to the other player's arrival. Upon figuring out those times you would have to apply a window of acceptable overs and unders. Some players will naturally be slower navigating the menu, but a certain amount of time over is just simply unacceptable.

That is really so extreme in my mind it borders on ridiculous. Unfortunately until someone comes up with something better or you guys fetch a fix people are going to keep doing this stuff until there's no way it can be done.
Norberto H or bust.

Yeah, a player tried to do it to me (glitch and then go on the wt to prentend he wasn't), he'll recognize himself...
So tired of sore losers who glitch...
