Played against SMP Andyroro (yesterday, didn't get to post last night since my power was out after I played the match, lucky me)
May I first say I didn't expect SMP to play with a serve and volley player because I remember him completely dominating me in a sim match on the TS3 Tour.
The first set was a breeze for us both when it came to holding serve. I got a crucial break point for the set and went on to serve it out for 6-4. After the first set, he messaged me to serve from the center which I totally forgot. But I don't serve from the tramlines and crap like that honest.
I served from the center for the rest of the match and won the second set 6-2.
Sobchak has a nice serve and speed at 68 with Fortis at 67 so I expected he could keep up a rally from the back of the court but the stamina comes into play and Fortis has more stamina. The forehand can definitely be attacked. Sometimes I tried to get to the net before my opponent and it worked for volleys. Sobchak has a good serve and a person who can really serve may be able to make more aces.
Fortis is very versatile. He can play offensively with his forehand and defend quite well. It's important to play smart and use control shots and power shot when appropriate so that you can be aggressive with the forehand or finish at the net. His volley stat at 60 is capable of playing Serve and Volley once in a while. He's the classic all-arounder. Passing Serve and volleyers with the forehand is a good tactic and can set you up for a backhand pass (weaker wing) or a lob.
Overall the match was all court and sometimes at the net. Sobchak can really just go into the net after a return simply because of his high volley and reflexes stats, and that play is strong and should be used with a player like him. But I was able to lob successfully or hit passes.
