Great Defender

When i will create a great defender, how i have to distribute my talent points?
And what is the best coach for a defender?

What i want:
- win the game by force errors from the opponent
- A player who can play good angles
- who has no problems with stamina
- who is fast
- but have still enough power to finish a ralley

And also questions therefore:
a.) is the size of the player crucial for the reach?
b.) what is the best tactic to force errors?
c.) are reflexes crucial for baseliners?
d.) is it crucial to play a single or double backhand and the art to stroke?

Many questions, i know. But i hope someone can help me.

Hi Daxter,
just create a Welsh setup. Its the most effective Setup in TS4, even more than the 98/98. But its much more difficult to use him effectly than the Babb setups.

Welsh:
- Extreme angles (inclusive direct winners from all over the court out of nowhere)

- He is fast enough

- Great Stamina

- If you manage to trigger the critical control Flats you create a Shot with extreme power just like a Gallo...

- His service is weak, but thats not a problem, because the game doesnt allow to attack the slow motion services


Summary:
Welsh has no weak point, but he is no easy to handle. If you manage a Welsh setup, you can beat everyone.

The future is Welsch. U can see how badly Bkristian and I lost in our semi final matches. 98/98 is no match for Welsch.

But as gotenkassane sais, the plyr behind it is also needing to be very good. Not everyone can handle him.

Yeah I agree with Gotenkssen and Avi. Welsh is the future. The combination of high speed and insane wings is a brutal combination. Hitting winners especially through power shots against Welsh is extremely hard due to the fact they can reach just about every shot you throw at them.

A Welsh player in the right hands is unbeatable.

welch is great ! =)

but, roman neuwirth with your shot counter and semi volley king can be a crazy angles too like welch, neuwirth can hit crazy ball just after a first bounce.

rabari its great too, Babb 98-98 for me is the most annoyng setup to play against.

David gallo power 100 + inside out master is a crazy power too.

welch is not the only one. iluvbillval with milango is better a lot of players with welch.

Better skills than Welsh? I disagree. Slavina would have been great if Welsh wasn't around ruining the balance of the game.

Basically, you get an advantage in all decisive points during a match. I even think this skill is better than Monster Defense, because it works no matter what the score is and you get the same effect as MD on all important points.

No point in using any other DB than Welsh with todays situation. Just perfect your game with Welsh and you'll be fighting in the top 30 before you know it.

But all this talk about future and ea gs 2 is cuming out in 2 weeks I think so is it the end of ts4?

FIFA u are right you used ir cp setup against me. There was no chance, just different league stuff.

I disagree with you on the smell of blood. It's only when you have a point to finish off the game, set, match. Monster defense is used way more in a match then SOB. I'd rather have MD when i'm about to have my serve broken, or im down 40-30 and need to brek serve. That is just my opinion though.

I just don't think Welch deserves to get banned. I don't use him in ITST either. I find the 98/98 setup to have a more important strength. You can have zero return game at all and still be in every match due to his service games being so strong. I'm not saying welch can be broken easily either. But playing against someone with any kind of return skills can give Welch users some issues. I don't care if you are the best server in the game and using Welch, your service game isn't going to blow your oppenent off the court if you are playing anyone with skill in the return game. Slow serves are a whole different story because it seems like you still can't take advantage of them. So serving slow serves all match is cheese in my mind and I believe is against ITST rules(not 100% sure about that though). I think if you ban Welch you have to ban the 98/98 setup too.(Not rabari, 100+ power, or Roman N.)
