all-rounder with a volley skill

Postby ben-1802 » Mon, 15 Aug 2011 00:37

Trying to create someone with just average 70 for groundies and volley and power and speed but this seems impossible does any1 have any good setups or ideas ? would love to s&v but u cant take full advantage of a 90+serve stat when your power is like 40

That is true Ben and as in our WS match yesterday that was the case , i have found that i have had to make many different characters to try to get any sort of result , but the problem is there are so many different characters who play sometimes one skill wont work against them or it may , i took a risk with the WS char that i used yesterday , cos i couldve been blown off court but for me the key was keeping the ball deep and NOT dropping it short cos once i do that im in trouble , and also the volleying does help in terms of miixing things up but it really is just a case of trying different variations , a lot in my case lol :)

Try 7/6/7 Bickham: you can get orange in everything but you get red in FH and yellow in power.

Mathew Grody - 7/5/8, 7/6/7, 8/5/7 - put 15 bonus points on backhand, and 5 on forehand: you get orange in all stats, plus you get Volley Shots Artist and Diesel Hard Hitter.

The player i was using was a mostly defence and SV but i find if u use the hard deep topspin even against a power player and its timed right they will eventually make the error , either that or you just chip in and put the volley away , tho as i say i did find the power a litlle bit tough at times but if the opponent is slow they are easy to beat despite them having high power ( mostly  )

7/6/7 +3 FH Bickham for a better FH , 7/6/7 with Grody +3 BH for a better power stat imo , im gonna try the second build today and see how it goes by the way.

No worries m8 , well for the Gabriela Sabatini character  i used 5 in SV, 5 in Offensive, and 10 in defence hence the speed and the depth and height of the ball when i use the topspin , however if u can make a char that can be powerful and come to the net also that can be easily nullified i feel. So if that happens u just gotta come to the net and try not to let it happen or just slice , ive done the same with a new male char ( not the one u seen , that was my bash artist i still get urges from TS3 haha) but im hoping the male version works as well but in the male version i have put 7 in Sv , 7 in Offensive ( to help serve and 6 in defence)
