Control shots and Power Stats

Postby Mayowa05 » Fri, 15 Jul 2011 18:45

This is probably a basic question but does the power stat affect the speed of your control shots. Or is it mainly for power shots. I'm wondering because if I use mostly control shots with a character who has high power, am I wasting his advantage?

So if my pro has 89 power, should I be using power shots most of the time?

No no no if anything a well exucted control shots eventually outweighs power shots, I played some top players and I hit the crap out of the ball and after the match they tell me they were using mostly control unless they see an opening

Well he prolly mixed it up control shots and power shots, but IMO a well excited power shot is less effective then let's say someone who has shot counter and hits control shots

I played with him too, he is amazing with those power shots. I didn't break him once and lost 6-4 7-6.

About power and control shots. It all really depends on the stats you have and how you can make the most of it. Defensive players will most likely hit more control shots to contruct the points while Offensive players will hit many power shots to try and end the point. Mikefare is monster when it comes to power shots, so he uses it most of the time. It all depends on what benefits your playstyle more, neither is better than the other.
