Shot Counter

Right now I am trying out an all-rounder setup with a coach that uses both shot counter and return serve counter. I was just wondering if this skill takes effect strictly with controlled shots or if it works with normal shots. I'm having a very hard time hitting a "well timed flat finesse" off a serve thats 125+ mph. Hitting a controlled shot off a serve is really hard!

It is very difficult so I don't even try to do it anymore because it ends up being a puff ball.

I think standing farther from the baseline will give you more time to hit the finesse counter but I don't like standing that far from the baseline.

A good flat return with great reflexes in the low 70s works fine - good or perfect timing.
