Return Serve Counter?

I have the coach skill for this, and it says a well timed flat-finesse shot will use the power of the serve.

Is this just a perfect shot tapping A? I don't think I've ever gotten it successfully, or if I have, I just didn't know it.

It only works on flat serves. Yes, you have to get a perfect timing.
